Hello all. Before I got polls, I promised myself I'd make this post when I did. And today's the day! So I have decided to officially retire this blog (for real this time, unless I wish to use it for some kind of shameless self-promotion in the future). I wanted to give it a nice sendoff, in a blazing viking funeral of a post, in the only ship that matters.

I will miss this blog, and the joy it brought. And it will never be forgotten. Happy blogging, wherever you are.

The time has come to archive this blog.

I'll be making another MCYT blog that doesn't have Dream SMP content. My new URL will be @roxynugget. If you wanna stick around, come join me. Old mutuals welcome, regardless of if you're still in the Dream SMP fandom or not, you guys are still friends :) I look forward to starting fresh. I'll be keeping my DMs open if someone has any questions about my new one or just anything in general, but the ask box and submissions will be closed.

While I still think my love for Button Duo and the Dream SMP's fan creations outweighs my distaste for Dream's behavior, I think it's time to start distancing myself from the Dream SMP on social media, and start a different MCYT blog dedicated to some of the other ones I like. Old faves like Hermitcraft, and new ones like Empires (Sausage my beloved <3).

It's become stressful, trying to decide what kind of DSMP content I post here on a public page that I'd consider "supporting" Dream, even if it doesn't directly involve him. And since I come here to de-stress, I've decided I'd rather move on to other interests.

I've decided to make a new blog instead of rebranding this one, partly because I don't wanna go "no no it was created before the controversy" if people ask, or try to justify why I've kept the posts up. But also because I don't wanna just pretend the past 2 years didn't happen, or that I don't care about the stuff that happened. Because it was 2 years of my life, and I do care! Some amazing things happened! Things that I don't wanna forget.

So while it hurts to say goodbye, I'm gonna leave this blog as is, and move on. I hope you understand.

Listen tho. Really listen. Please.

No matter what happens tomorrow, or whatever the fuck dumb thing Dream does 3 weeks from now that gets him cancelled again, the thing I enjoyed most about this fandom was not him. It never was. His name was on it, but every post, every piece of fanart, every fanfic, and every fan animatic made for the SMP was made by you guys, and it was the best part. This was a whirlwind of fun and creativity and heartbreaking lore and laughter and I wouldn't have been able to survive quarantine without it. I won't forget the friends I made along the way, either.

I really enjoyed this wild ride with all of you.
