I literally binged all of season 4 and found out from my friends that episode 24 is the recent one and oh my god. all the emotions I felt from ep 1 till this episode, were all released through my ugly sobs LOL

Purely, from a storytelling perspective, I really think that Nam Do San's character arc isn't fit for a main lead. His story doesn't have the right emotional beats to parallel the underlying themes of the show. At most, his inferiority complex and relationship struggles with his father was dragged and could've been dealt with as a subplot in 2 episodes. He had a 3 year time skip and still no emotional pay off. He's richer but he's still the same dude who left 3 years ago.

Meanwhile, we have Ji Pyeong and In Jae and almost all of their struggles, growth and development have been written off screen.

Honestly, the show could've focused less on Do San's fragile ego and more on the Seo sisters journey to reconciliation and I literally would not have had any complaint whoever Dal Mi ended up with.

As it is, I was robbed of a complex loving sisterly dynamic. It's not enough that almost every crucial plot point is only implied.

The show is literally called Start Up and it starts off with the daughters of a man whose legacy helped inspire Sandbox.

And we have this random ass dude become the savior by coding every time the female lead is in peril.

The thing about Ji Pyeong is his support in no way cheapens Dal Mi's intellect. He gives advice but ultimately, it's Dal Mi who pulls all of the weight.

If Dal Mi is the car then he's the breaks.

If Dal Mi is the ship then he's the anchor.

He makes sure that Dal Mi can wander and set sail without being swept up by the storm and that's that on that.

this drama is causing so much war right now i swear LOL but yeah she can actually confide in him and be in her most vulnerable position when he’s around. Like I unno they have this special connection and even seeing how their relationship is like with the recent episodes?? its saying so much but its so stupid with how the whole entire writing went 

Dalmi always hits her head whenever anything goes downhill. And then there's Jipyeong, saving her head from even the smallest of the things. And writers want me to believe they aren't made for each other? Lol.
