I'm an Agnostic Ego-theist. I believe I can't prove the existence of God, but if They do exist, it's me.
I'm a Buddhist Inverse Solipsist. I believe that I am the only guy still in samsara, and all of reality is a truman-show-like act by billions of bodhisattvas who are just humoring me.

I loved him as Tesla!
and obviously I don't mind Timeless existing. I mean, 'people who have to prevent history from changing' is not exactly a new concept. especially for the US, right? which is why it's weirder they had to rip off a Spanish show, I guess it's just that good. but to be fair I didn't watch more than like 2 episodes of Timeless and perhaps it is a good show! the whole thing is just pretty funny to me
also, while we're at it, come on RTVE, come on. give. us. season. five.
I have made the mistake of starting my first rewatching in years of one of my all time favourite shows, El Ministerio del Tiempo (The Ministry of Time). if you liked Timeless (or even if you didn't like it or even watch it at all), you will love the show it plagiarized happens to be somewhat similar to maybe. it's also sometimes called "the Spanish Doctor Who," which, I can understand, but, also, no
for those who don't know, this absolute gem of a series centers around a secret ministry in Spain which must make sure history doesn't change. every episode is the main team encountering a historical figure or event and preventing some other force from changing it
it's sometimes very grim, and can deal with some heavy stuff, like one of the main characters being a widower that lost his wife in a car accident not being able to stop going back to meet her again a lot. but it's also funny as shit. the comedy and drama is very well balanced
a few examples of how fucking unhinged this show is:
- they don't have a time machine because time machines don't exist, that's stupid. they travel through FUCKING DOORS. they open a door, go through it, and BAM they're in fucking 1069 or something
- they have people of all eras working for them. the main team (in s1, since because the network renewed the show every like 2 years or something some actors left, came back, went from guest to regular and vice versa, etc) is comprised of a paramedic from the present, Julián. one of the first (fictional) female university students, Amelia. and Alonso a fucking soldier from 1569!!! there's also the subsecretary (why not Minister, I don't even know), Salvador, from the present as well; Irene, a lesbian from 1960; Angustias, from 1900, and Ernesto Jiménez (who is later revealed to be SPOILERS I'M NOT GOING TO TELL YOU)
- they sometimes need help recognising people, especially if they are travellers through time that have gained access to a door that is outside the Ministry. so, of course, they need a forensic artist. guess who they got. guess who they FUCKING GOT!! I'm not going to tell you because it's actually a great gag and I don't want to spoil it for you since you are. going. to watch. this show
also, I cannot stress enough how much character stuff it has. in relatively short seasons (8 or 13 episodes), they dedicate a lot of time to developing the characters apart from showing the viewers all the history shit. this is because each episode is an hour and 10 minutes long!! it really doesn't drag, believe me, and you can (will) watch it bit by bit
I will start making posts about it, if anything to annoy some people into hopefully watching it lmao
