penn undid the velcro keeping him strapped into his harness, eyebrows raising at the girl’s rapidfire words. getting out of the thing was a process -- even if he was already unhooked from the rigging system -- but after a minute he was finally free and tossed the harness to the side, leaving it for someone else to pick up. “yeah, i’m wrapped for the day; unless someone else around here needs saving,” he added with a wink, flashing riley a grin. “always down for a celebration, but maybe not the ice cream; gotta watch my figure.” and he’d always been health conscious, but now that his job required him to be fit, he paid extra attention to his diet. “maybe a smoothie stop, instead? or we could make a couple stops so you can get your ice cream, still.”
“Hey! Are you busy? I thought we could, like, hang out.” Riley paused, just a couple feet away from @nichcls, a friendly smile on her lips. Lips that were almost eternally poised in such a way but, still. She made sure to give each smile the meaning it required. After a minimal incident on set - one she hadn’t thought it’d be necessary to write home about - some sort of switch had flipped inside her when it came to her then-distant relationship to the stuntman. Of course, he’d always been easy on the eyes, and she’d always had eyes that were more than ready to appreciate the easiness of others, but there was something… more that rumbled deep inside her. Besides the only bagel she’d had for breakfast. “Also, I got a spot in another show and I was looking for someone to celebrate that with. I could even buy you an ice cream with three whole scoops if you wanted?” she offered, giddiness escaping her in waves.

It hadn’t been the best morning for Erin. She’d woken up late, forgot that she hadn’t gone to the grocery store, got stuck in traffic but thankfully she wasn’t the only one running behind as she read an email telling her that her scenes for the day were delayed. She couldn’t breathe easy, however, as someone bumped into her from behind, her body reacting to hold her iced coffee tighter as her phone flew in the air.
It was as if her life flashed before her eyes, phone in the air, but suddenly it was all okay as the guy who she presumed bumped into her caught it. Once her heart settled she realized that she recognized him from around the lot though she really didn’t know him well. Reaching out for her phone her fingers brushed against his palm as she did so. “And you’re a lifesaver.” Erin responded, her smile wide with relief.
penn’s smile widened the slightest bit as her finger’s grazed his hand, almost taking on a boyish quality. “i’ve been called worse,” he joked, taking a sip of his smoothie. “most people just call me penn, though.” he let himself get a good look at her now that they were face to face. there were plenty of good looking people on the lot, but there was something different about her; he couldn’t quite put his finger on it. “so does this pretty face have a name to go with it, or are you gonna make me guess?”

if bean had a list of people she really didn’t want to see at that precise moment, penn fucking nichols would’ve had entire list to himself. even if she’d wanted to, she couldn’t control her eyeroll as she glanced over him briefly. “congratulations captain obvious, looks like you gained your observation badge from the boy scouts,” came her response, not even bothering to deny that she’d slacked a little lately. “you know, it always astounds me, how you manage to even fit into the gym with that massive fucking ego of yours,” she huffed, adjusting the bag strap on her shoulder.
penn smirked, his eyes lighting up mischievously; one of his favorite past times was getting under bean’s skin. “i think we both know i’m the farthest thing from a boy scout, beano.” he took a few steps closer, arms crossing over his chest. “they added an extra wing just for me; can’t deny the public all of this,” he said, gesturing to himself.

moving through the lot during the morning rush, penn held his smoothie close to his chest -- though most of the others moved around him without him having to tilt in the slightest. not everyone moved, though, and his shoulder collided with someone else’s. he saw their phone fly through the air, and with his quick reflexes caught it before it could tumble to the ground. he turned to the person -- a pretty girl he’d seen before around the lot -- and gave her his most charming smile. “you dropped this,” he said, holding the phone out to her; admittedly not his best line, but it would do. // @ebitfield

( niall horan / cismale / he/him ) the paparazzi have spotted PENN NICHOLS, the TWENTY-TWO year old CREW MEMBER who’s currently working as STUNTMAN on SUPERHUMAN. the tabloids have called them BOLD and ADROIT, but also BRAZEN and TACTLESS. during their time in the spotlight, they’ve been dubbed the CONNARD.
OKAY so penn was 100% That Guy in high school
most popular guy in school, all american in three sports, big ole bully
he once pretended to be into this wildly unpopular girl and then dumped her so harshly that she ended up transferring schools
he never got any consequences for his actions bc the school board was all up his parents’ asses since they donated so much money to the school
and bc y’know they needed him to win sports games
also he has an older sister idk where else to say that lmao
so he got a full ride to notre dame which he DEFINITELY didn’t need since his family is loaded
was basically the same guy throughout college except gayer ( he’s pan and it’s spread pretty evenly across the board )
did the whole fraternity thing since he was a legacy and all and graduated in the middle of his class
shortly after graduating with a business degree, he had no idea what to fuckin do bc he had no interest in what he’d went to school for
on a whim he flew out to los angeles and started getting work as a stuntman lmao
he’s a big ole daredevil so it was fun for him
superhuman is the second show he’s worked on bc the first one got cancelled after a few episodes lmao
it’s been fun so far !!!! he’s still pretty cocky but he’s mellowed a bit w age and maturity ig ?????
saved @rileygrxy during a flubbed stunt so now they’re friends
has heard the ‘pennies and nickels’ joke plenty of times you’re not clever
