One thing I need everyone to know is that I have very little control over the abundance of Em dashes I use. They come out of nowhere—I don't go looking for them, I swear. They're just so much cooler than commas. Not that I don't love a good comma; they're a ride or die punctuation. Still, a good em dash—to explain the obvious—is just so satisfying for some reason. I love it so much.

The potential of stories with Tim and Damian being the only kids still living at the Manor is criminally overlooked. When you are siblings, and forced to live together, it’s physically impossible to not start hanging out. I should know, I have just one sibling and we spent a lot of time far away from other kids/friends. Who else you’re going to hang around with?

You know that thing all siblings do where they just randomly burst in to the others room and just stand at the doorway, saying nothing? Yeah that.

i love the idea of jon and damian being each other’s first loves OF COURSE but there’s also so much potential in them both dating other people BEFORE they get together

and i’m not talking about the “he should be with me instead” angst potential. i’m talking about them dating other people because they are completely oblivious to their own feelings

jon being a little skeptical of damian’s first relationship because he can’t imagine damian being as comfortable with ANYONE as he is with jon. but that’s a normal thought to have about your best friend, right?

seventeen year old jon confessing that he’d had his first kiss last night, and damian letting jon relay the story and being unable to pinpoint why he feels so weird about the whole thing.

a blushing college freshman jon asking damian for advice about The First Time, effectively taking damian by surprise because he and jon have never talked about that kind of thing. jon’s question implies that damian isn’t a virgin, and damian ISN’T a virgin, but how does jon know that and why does jon knowing feel so wrong? “i just figured, since you’re a little older than me, you’d probably…” jon eventually explained. it makes SENSE but damian still doesn’t understand why jon decided to go to HIM. (jon doesn’t entirely know why damian was the first person he’d thought of either. conner would’ve made much more sense.)

jon planning a double date so that his new girlfriend can meet damian and damian’s boyfriend, then feeling… weird… when he sees his girlfriend standing next to damian. feeling weirder when he’s left alone with damian’s boyfriend for a few minutes.

and of course, them FINALLY getting together and realizing WHY knowing about each other’s dating life had always felt so strange
