Nihil is Latin for nothing, and genous means to come from. So basically “We come from nothing.” We thought it sounded cool and it fit our vibes.

Hi! You don't have to answer if you don't want to but do you have any advice on how to know if you're a system or not for confused people?

Answering this the best we can, but here’s what helped us!

This is also how we identify new headmates amd whose fronting, but we like to call them “Hey! This Isn’t Me!” moments. We try to figure out or identify moments where we’re doing things and have that “huh. this isn’t me, weird” feelings. The best way I can describe it is like? Not knowing your orientation or gender, you know something wrong/not correct but you don’t exactly know what. It’s like that, but for like, your sense of self. A lot of systems we’ve talked to when they didn’t realize they were a system remembered they had times where they didn’t feel like them and did things they normally wouldn’t do, no matter how small. With people who are trying to figure out if their a system or not we usually recommend trying to figure out if you have those moments.

And example I can give it it’s not clear is. You’re you, but sometime during the day you stop in a place you normally don’t go, like the kitchen, and you think “wow this feels off- i don’t feel the same/i feel like out of place“ for no particular reason, even if you have no other negative feeling at the time, or after realizing, it’s just kinda like, a weird nagging feelings something isn’t right. For us when we get that feeling we try to figure out who we are / narrow down who we could be, and that usually helps.

Other than that, like? Communication you know. Try to reach out to people internally and externally and see if you get any responses. It’s not a quick process for everyone! It takes time for a lot of people :)!!

outernaut is another term for a host, like someone who just takes care of irl shit and responsibilities. we said pseudo-outernaut on our (gore/june) introduction post because we don’t like.. actually take care of anything, it just looks like we do / seems like it to outsiders cuz we’re the bodies default peoples :P
