What are the criteria? - Fanfic: 1.500 words minimum, must be beta-ed. 500 words only needed for submissions! - Art: one piece minimum. A sketch is fine for submissions! What type of art? Traditional: drawing, painting… or non-conventional: pottery, felt art, gifsets (6 gifs min), fanmixes (6 pieces of music + cover), embroidery, dollhouses, podfic, bookbinding… All visual art must be accompanied with a description.

What is a rarepair? If there are over 1,000 English-language works on AO3 as otp:true (aka, they’re the main ship), then it’s not a rarepair. Excluded as of the time of this FAQ (might be updated): Matt/Foggy, Matt/Frank, Matt/Reader, Frank/Karen. Let me know if you find others, or ask me to check! Your rarepair (or OT+) must include at least one of the characters from the Daredevil, Defenders, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, Jessica Jones, Punisher comics, TV shows, or movies… the rest is up to you :D

HUGE NEWS!

In 2020, Elsa Sjunneson became the first blind writer to work on Daredevil when she included a Matt Murdock cameo in the audio serial Jessica Jones: Playing With Fire. Now, finally, she is getting to write the actual comic, at least for one issue, hopefully opening the doors for more DD work in the future!

Here is the solicitation for Daredevil volume 8 #8, which is slated for publication in April:

"A dragnet is closing around Matt Murdock, A.K.A. DAREDEVIL! Police on both sides of the law are hunting him, something vicious with a deep connection to Matt’s very soul is hunting his friends and, in the midst of that chaos, an old foe with the blood of Matt’s closest allies on his hands returns…"

The writing credits for the issue are "Saladin Ahmed & more", so presumably, Sjunneson is included in "& more". April cannot get here fast enough, as far as I'm concerned. I'm very excited, for her and for the comic as a whole, which has gone far too long without input from blind/visually impaired creators.

Hi, I love your art so much and I'm enjoying the posts about your OCs but I had a question about your Hannibal art. I admire the way you draw their faces and how much they actually resemble actors' faces and also how consistent the likeness is no matter the position of the faces. How do you do that? I always found it hard to get the likeness right especially without a reference in the exact same position. And you also do it so well in your art about your OCs which I suppose is even harder given that you aren't just copying some already existing face. So please, do you have any advice for a fellow artist when it comes to this?

for the most part, i do rely really heavily on references! my ocs do have face claims (which i follow pretty loosely tbh) and i can pretty much timestamp u any given screenshot from hannibal bc of how much i scrub the series looking for specific angles lol :D

but that being said, i think breaking characters/faces down to their most notable identifying features helps build consistency

so like even when its not super accurate to the reference, it reads like it is? if that makes sense

these are kinda old, and ive had alot more practice w their faces since i made them so my new hannibal and wills look totally different now, but i think about it every time im drawing them lol
