happy anniversary to Nemean Lion!

after decades of serving their community, Nemean Lion is proud to mark its 33rd anniversary. join us on the training grounds for an all day picnic-to-party celebration!

founded thirty-three years ago in 1991, NL first opened its doors to provide safe haven for the demigods of the world, as all current-day member of NL well know.

in the wake of such a tragic end to their last year, NL wants to lift spirits and morale around campus and remind everyone of the community they all share and care for. additionally, they know some may still feel a bit uneasy about the recent arrivals of anthropoteras members a month ago, and are hoping this celebration can serve as a good ice breaker, reminding them this is everyone's community now.

so, to that end, NL is celebrating its anniversary in a big way this year! the training grounds will be closed for trainings and outfitted into a party venue, decked out to be their version of a fantastic outdoor block party.

there are several tents set up, with cables of string lights hung around and plenty of seating underneath. there's a full buffet all day, serving all types of delicious picnic food, lemonades, and appetizers. on the green grounds, there are a bunch of picnic blanket and pillows strewn around for anyone who wants to enjoy the celebration on the plush grass instead. there will also be a dance-floor set up, and dj playing music in the evening. and, of course, no party is complete without an open bar. at the end of the night, sit out on the grass and watch the fireworks show light up over Nemean Beach.

the campus is trying to close as many facilities as possible, so everyone can partake in the celebration at some point in their day, from closing The Rec all day to keeping minimal staff on the clock at the Demicenter. demigods and anthros alike are encouraged to come out and get to know each other, and make memories that will bring them into what they hope to be a prosperous and calmer year for Nemean Lion. come on out, have a drink, and toast to a better year!

we are now officially open again!

this event takes place in character on February 9th, 2023, beginning from noon with a small welcome from Marina Ren, to a fireworks show closing out the night at 9:30pm.

we will stay in this day in character for the foreseeable future until we've moved out of the event. this rp works in slow-time so once we exit the event, even if it's been a couple weeks, we may still be in mid-February in character. we will inform the rp once we move in time.

you are now free to post starter calls, event posts, social media updates, character outfit uploads, and pretty much anything else as long as they take place at any time on this day in character.

remember that to accommodate for the festivities, The Rec is fully closed, and the Training Building, Agency Building, and Forge will be closing early. the Infirmary and Demicenter will stay open with a minimal staff.

hello everyone! as stated before, Nemean Lion is officially moving to become a discord exclusive rp. we have revamped the rp and unveiled a brand new server where we'll be continuing on with our plot and members, and accepting new applications. this main will stay open as a hub to access the server, post plot drops and events, promote the rp, and answer any asks in our inbox. we're excited to start our revamp over on discord and hope to meet some new members there— check out the link to the server in our pinned post!

hello everyone! i have some updates regarding what comes next for nemean and what changes you can expect in the next week.

after careful consideration and discussion, the admin team has decided to fully move nlrpg to discord. the main will stay up and active, but all ooc and ic activity will now be exclusive to the server. we're already in the process of revamping it, so please bear with us. once everything is ready, promotions will start back up and hopefully we are able to find some new members!

in the meantime, please consider all your characters, where they stand and if you'd like to keep or drop some. we'll be asking in the server on tuesday 1/16 for all those details.

the admins do believe we’d like to see a primary blog just to keep things organized on our end and so that the option of tumblr dash interactions is there for other members, but if this is hard to do due to access to a laptop let us know and we can work around it! nearly all of our roleplay interactions take place in our discord server anyhow so you won’t have to worry too much about using the blog every day!

welcome to the end of summer…

hello half-bloods!! as the hotter months wind down, the campus wants to offer you the chance to relax, party with your friends, and enjoy the rest of what august has to offer by the salt air and warm sand. nemean lion invites you to an end-of-summer beach bonfire this weekend! while of course the private beach is open to all residents at all times of the day, in the evening you’ll find nemean beach decked out with string lights and torch-fire lights, and cabanas and picnic tables to sit and socialize at. there will be a dj so music is carried through the summer air all night, as well as drinks and food served at a beach-side bar. however, nl really urges you to enjoy one of the best features the campus has to offer: the ocean. there is nothing like swimming through the healing and refreshing waters of nemean beach. and at the end of the night, stay warm and dry by the bonfire on the shore, and wish summer farewell with the rest of your friends!
