Has there ever been a song you really wanted for the show that you couldn’t get the rights to use?

Yes! We tried to get 'The Louvre' by Lorde for season 2 (the end of ep 1 I think?) but unfortunately it didn't work out. There was also a Harry Styles song that we were going to use for when Nick and Charlie run for the metro in Paris but we simply couldn't afford it with our budget! (I can't remember which song)

We were shown photos of three different border collies and we chose Echo because he was the cutest!

one of my favorite parts about tv shows is their soundtracks! how do yall choose the songs and go about getting the rights to them?

So me and Patrick (the other main exec on the show) spend a lot of time putting together a playlist during pre-production and the shoot. We pass that on to the editors and director once they're editing the show, and they tend to pick from that list (or come up with their own ideas) when finding songs for the show. Then when me and Patrick are reviewing the episodes, sometimes we say 'hm what if we had a different song here' and we all discuss possible alternative options! We have a music supervisor, and there's also our producer, and between them they arrange negotiating the purchase of the rights to use the songs that we've chosen.

I know people love to debate when Nick starts to realize he has feelings for Charlie, HOWEVER what I’m interested in is (in your opinion) when does Nick realize that Charlie likes him back? Is this a realization after he accepts he has feelings for Charlie or a speculation before he figures out his own feelings?

What an interesting question... I just had a little skim through Vol 1 to see what I think... and I reckon Nick doesn't pick up on it until after he becomes aware of his own crush (around/just after their hug when Charlie's in the blanket). Nick recognising his own feelings suddenly makes him aware of Charlie's feelings in return!

I think I have a little bit of a cold coming on but I had a GREAT udon soup for lunch today that literally helped so much, I truly felt my HP restoring and little sparkles swirling around me

Overall I'm not too bad, life isn't super stressful right now and I'm trying not to work too hard while I'm able to! I have some worries in the back of my mind but I'm really trying to just focus on myself at the moment, which can be hard but I'm continuing to try my best! I'm writing Vol 6 at the moment (just writing, not yet drawing it) and it's going sort of okay, I'm feeling a bit unsure about the direction I'm taking it but I think I'll figure it out once I have a complete draft and can go back and edit it a bit. And season 3 post-production is going well, we're getting to the colour grade and sound now which is when it really starts to feel like the real thing!

genuinely one of the worst things that’s happened to television in the last few years (exacerbated by streaming services) is death of Filler. going from 20 episodes to 8 because “we didn’t really need that episode where the main characters went to the beach right? it had no long lasting effect” but we DID!!! we needed to see how they act without the Big Bad Plot and to establish the dynamics between the characters and lay in the sun (do they forget sunscreen? how do they react to a thieving seagull? do they get buried in the sand or do they do the burying?). the plot isn’t everything. the action doesn’t hit as hard without the quiet moments. give us character development and our little scenes back
