I would have forgiven TGT for absolutely everything else if they had just elaborated on the severely broken trust between Tamara/Jasper and Call/Aaron. The possible dynamic there makes me want to chew glass

BTW finally finished reading Dark Rise recently and I wholeheartedly recommend it to my fellow Magisterium fans. It didn't quite hit the same as reading Iron Trial for the first time but I did have a blast pointing at things and going "hey our books did that too!!!"

#i still like the magisterium more (nothing will EVER top the call revelation) but dark rise is dramatically better written so far #i think bc of the ya rating it can put a lot more meat behind its premise and let its characters be a lot more fucked up than mag #whereas everyone in magisterium is in a permanent kind of childlike stasis and everything glances off of them #lee rambles on and on #magisterium #idk just. more magisterium fans read dark rise I need someone to talk about the similarities and differences with
