charging cards, w/ love
kiss them gently, hold them to your heart
let sunshine fall upon them so they’re warm in your hands
leave a fresh blossom on top of the deck every once in a while
sit outside one night and introduce them to the moon & stars
sing whatever you’d like with them around
let an animal you love near them
say thank you and mean it

🕯Witch Tip🔮
Sigils work best when they’re out of sight, out of mind. Regardless of how you plan to use it, it’s important that you do not concern yourself with it or its workings. Allow it to manifest on its own. This is typically how they’re meant to be utilized.

And that is my altar for Ostara.
Tumblr media
Pls don't judge, I am extremely on a budget.
I cross stitched the center piece myself, the rest is pretty much what I have at home.
I managed to get a hot cross bun and some wine for the offerings.
I will now try for a little celebration and ritual, given that my cat will not wreak avoc 😅

Lesser-known forms of divination pt1
Tumblr media
ABACOMANCY - the practice of divination by reading omens in patterns of dust (particularly the ashes of the dead)
ALEUROMANCY - the practice of divination by messages baked inside special cakes which are then selected at random
ALOMANCY - the practice of divination by interpreting the symbolic patterns made by sprinkling salt. Another method involves casting a handful of salt into a fire and then interpreting the omens that may appear in the flames
ART OF THE LITTLE DOTS - a relatively modern form of geomancy. It is performed in the following way: hold a pen or pencil in your non-writing hand over a blank piece of paper. Close your eyes, clear your mind, and then quickly tap the tip of the pen on the paper one hundred times. Open your eyes and focus on the dot pattern until you are able to interpret its meaning
AUGURY - the practice of divination by the flight patterns or songs of birds. This was a common practice in ancient Rome where appointed religious officials known as "augurs" foretold future events by observing and interpreting many bird omens, which ranged from the type of bird seen to the direction of its flight.
BIBLIOMANCY - the practice of divination by means of opening a book at random and then interpreting in prophetic fashion the first words or sentences read
CATTABOMANCY - the practice of divination by vessels made of brass. Perfumed water, oil, ink, or some other liquid is poured into the vessel and the diviner gazes into the liquid without blinking, until they enter a trancelike state and is able to experience prophetic visions.
CERAUNOSCOPY - the practice of divination by the interpretation of thunder and lightning.

Dream Work In Witchcraft: What is it?
Part 1 of a Series, for more search #Oneironautics on my blog or leave me an ask.
☁️ ☁️ ☁️ ☁️ ☁️  ‧͙⁺˚*・༓☾ 🌕 ☽༓・*˚⁺‧͙ ☁️ ☁️ ☁️ ☁️ ☁️
Dream Work or Dream Magick can refer to a number of different things from the perspective of witchcraft and the occult practitioner. This can include but is not limited to:
Lucid Dreaming - Also known as Oneironautics. The act of becoming aware that you are in a dream. Often the lucid dreamer is able to interact with or even control their dream from inside of it to cultivate a desired experience.
Dream Interpretation - Analyzing dreams to derive meaning from symbolism and interaction that occurs while dreaming.
Dream Divination/ Prophetic Dreams - Also known as Oneiromancy. Often paired with interpretation, the act of gaining premature or previously unknown insight on a situation through dreams.
Dream Spirit Communication - Sending or receiving direct communication from or to spirits in a dreamscape. This can include meeting entities, spirits, gods, etc for the first time, hearing their voice, receiving a sign or confirmation, or even meeting with them face to face.
Dream Shadow Work- Exploring the subconscious and fears through nightmares
and Dream Spellcasting - utilizing dreams to fuel or fulfill a spell. Included in this is intentionally using lucid dreaming to astral travel or cast a particular spell in the dream world.

Take a chance and believe in magic without doubting it.
The moment those doubts bubble up just push them down.
Allow yourself to exist magically without concern about whether or not magic exists.

Probably a stupid question, how exactly do you dispose of offerings? Not just food, but in general. Sorry, I'm still a baby when it comes to this! ^^"
Hey, Nonny, thanks for the ask!
*bonks you* There are no stupid questions!
There are a couple of different ways to dispose of offerings. For Ouranic deities (deities who aren't directly connected with death and The Underworld; those who reside in Olympus), you can burn offerings (if it is SAFE to do so) or consume them (again, if it is SAFE)! Personally, when I give Ouranic deities edible offerings, I consume them to dispose of them. If you do consume them, though, I'd give the deity a heads-up first! You can also throw away offerings, if you must, but if you do this, I would make it clear to the deity that you mean no disrespect and that it's the only way you can dispose of said offering safely.
For Chthonic deities (deities directly connected to death and The Underworld; those who reside in Hades), you can return the offering to the earth by burying it (if it is eco-friendly ONLY) or dispose of it in the trash. If you dispose of it in the trash, I recommend letting the deity know you mean no offense by this and that it's simply the only way you can safely dispose of the offering. DO NOT CONSUME OFFERINGS TO CHTHONIC DEITIES!!!
I hope this helps! Have a wonderful day/night! ☺️🧡
Anyone can feel free to add on if they have other methods or tips!

some tarot tips i've collected over the years
- when shuffling, pay attention to the cards that fall out of the deck. sometimes they have a special message for you.
- questions aren't always necessary when reading. letting the cards tell you what they need to helps to develop your intuition, and the relationship between you and your deck (or the spirit you are working with, depending on how you divine information).
- when reading with multiple cards (i.e. as a spread), try and string the cards together rather than interpreting them by their individual meanings:
recurring suits, themes, symbols, and numbers
proportions of suits and uprights vs. reversals
position of the cards (e.g. if people are present in the cards, where are they looking?)
colours of the cards (e.g. do any of the cards stand out more than the rest?)
- although each card has a core meaning, different decks with different art could emanate different "flavours" of the core meaning.
- draw a clarifying card if something confuses you, but try not to draw any more than two cards per reading.
