Finished 'Fallout' so I can finally unblock the hashtags! Immediate thoughts:
It was really good. Unless you're averse to over-the-top gore, go watch it.
Michael Emerson's role was both more important and interesting than I expected, and just as short lived as I expected!
Enjoyed all three principals, Walton Goggins and Ella Purnell I knew only from their voiceover work, Aaron Moten I didn't, but they all appealed to me and I wanted to follow their stories.
Matt Berry as the voice of the 'Mr Handy's is perfect casting. Perfect.
The songs take the soundtrack spotlight, but Ramin Djawadi's work in the background music is typically excellent.
I wish it had been released weekly like Shogun, instead of blurted out all at once so I had to rush through it. I much prefer having time to read reactions, make or reblog gifs, etc. week to week instead of hiding from reaction until I find time to get through the whole series.

I've finished episode 2 of Shogun now.
I know he's kind of shifty and boils people alive, but I can't help sort of liking Yabushige. He's entertaining. Is it just me?

Just finished watching the first episode of Shogun (which was great btw but you probably already heard that), and I was half watching the credits when I saw 'Nestor Carbonell'.
Was surprised because I didn't remember seeing him at all, so went to look on IMDB to see that he was ... Vasco Rodrigues! Vasco Rodrigues!! I never registered it was him for a second.
Man's a hell of an actor!

But, to me, saying that Harold should have done different things, always seems to amount to wishing that Harold were a different sort of person. And those arguments I feel always stumble on the virtual certainty that, if Harold had been a different person, so too would the Machine have been different. In the direction, I fear, of Samaritan rather than away from it.
Harold would almost certainly agree with you though, he never could forgive himself for anything!
i'll never forget the fact that harold has kept the machine locked up for 5 seasons and disabled her from doing great things, which eventually led to the death of his friends... facts.
