myhoneststudyblr:

here is my brand new challenge! i’ve known that i was going to do this challenge since i started my summer challenge in july so i am so psyched to be able to finally share it with you guys! i hope that you will enjoy it <3

DISCLAIMER: lots of the prompts in December are to do with Christmas because that is what i celebrate at this time of year. i was very aware of that when i was writing the prompts but i did not think that knew enough about other festivals and holidays at this time to write prompts about them. i did not want any prompts i made to be disrespectful. if you don’t celebrate Christmas, please know that this challenge is still for you! you can either just use the prompts anyway (if they are applicable) or adapt them to fit the festival or holiday that you celebrate. if it is impossible to adapt, then simply tell me about what you celebrate because i am excited to learn about them! [this was edited later because i realised i forgot to add it - thank you to the anon who queried this issue for reminding me <3]

✨ Info ✨

  • If you do the challenge, use the tag #winter studying challenge so i (and others) can see your posts. I try to reblog as many as possible.
  • This challenge will run for two months - from the 1st December to the 31st January
  • There are daily prompts for every day of December and January
  • But as always I don’t expect everyone to be able to post every day so you can always do catchup posts!
  • If you have any questions, feel free to send me an ask!

  • If you want to do the challenge, please reblog this post
  • If you do it on any other social media platform (ie. Instagram), please give credit. You can find my instagram here - my username is the same as on here @myhoneststudyblr
  • The challenge will officially start on the 1st December, but if you come across this later, you can definitely start anytime during these two months!

Pieces of Viking pottery with traces of cat and dog paws, seen at the Musée de Normandie in Caen Castle

“So back in the day pets already ruined their owner’s artwork.” - My sis who took the photo

“ruined”? made better

It’s very humanizing to imagine some poor potter in the past screaming “nnnnooooooo bad kitty” somewhere in Scandinavia

If it was ruined, the artisan wouldn’t have baked it.

That’s… that’s a delightful point you just made.

This person chose to bake and keep their cat’s artistic contribution.

// 30.11.20 //

ah yes, another weekend has come and gone and i still hate school :)

i worked a lot this weekend so i didn’t have much time to do homework. i’ve been trying to go to bed earlier lately and get into the habit of drinking more water and tea rather than coffee and i am SAD. i miss it alright, let me be deprived in peace.

december is tomorrow so my family and i put up all our decorations and our christmas tree so at this point i’m just waiting for the christmas break. my course load has been like i’m drinking from a firehouse and it’s a lot to take in but i’m keeping up to the best thing f my ability

hi everyone!!!!! long time no see :) i know i haven’t been active on thing blog for a while since i finished up my exams, but i’ve started my new semester! i’m taking AP world religions and AO grade 12 literature. i originally went into the semester thinking literature would be easy despite the fact that it’s a grade above mine, but the work load is heavier than expected. overall, i am enjoying both my classes and teachers!

it’s started snowing here and we have our christmas decorations up! winter is one of my favourite seasons since i positively adore christmas and everything about it. we don’t really visit any of my family so the fact that my city is likely going back into quarantine doesn’t affect our holidays which is nice. i hope you’re all safe and healthy!! love you guys <<33

if you’re into dark academia or studyblr or just enjoy new knowledge, especially that related to the history of math and physics, i HIGHLY recommend watching Tibees on youtube. she’s an amazing youtuber, with a very soothing voice and has such insightful videos.

An awful day but better than those of recent times. Sometimes a little cry on your own and a little laugh with the right people can make the load seem a little lighter.

24.11.2020 || 3/75 Days of Productivity || 1.8 hours focused

Today I baked a cake with my dad for our Thanksgiving dinner tomorrow (photos forthcoming!) and then read the last few articles for my research for my Islamic art exhibition project.  I feel I won’t be able to gain anything by doing more research because there’s so little space to write in the project, but it’s such an interesting topic that I do want to go on.

trying to write three final papers at the same time, all while also trying to study for a mid term during the hardest, most intense burn out i’ve ever felt feels practically impossible. never mind actually dealing with smaller assignments and keeping up with class readings so I can actually participate….. how do we do it, folks?

well hello there! it has been a while friends :) i’ve been busy with school and work so i do apologize for my absence.

i’ve started my new semester and it’s pretty light! i am taking AP world religions and AP english, although i’m taking the grade 12 course (the grade above mine) since i did a reach ahead course over the summer! my teachers are both very nice and they’re very helpful so i’m hopeful for this semester. i’m still doing online but i’m very excited for christmas coming up!!!
