One headcanon of mine related to how Sirius and Lily became real friends and not just “we hang out together because you are dating my best friend” is that one day both of them end up alone in Hogsmeade

Each of the marauders went to a different store and it was arranged for them to meet after that in a bench on a park in the village. Lily and Sirius were the firsts to arrive and it was kind of awkward because they had never spent so much time alone before

And they are there making small talk and lily is not so sure Sirius actually likes her because she used to fight a lot with him and James when they were younger and she isn’t super sure that he has forgiven her about that

And then there is an attack of Death Eaters in Hogsmeade

Everything explodes and they is fire and spells flying everywhere

Lily is super stunned because is the first time she has ever been in a situation like this but Sirius is used to running around a werewolf every month so he is more used to handling the situation when things go south

And Sirius’s first reaction is to duck both of them down on the floor. He covers her with body and casts a protective spell around them.

Due to that Lily is harmless after the attack but Sirius has some quite sirius injuries on his back and ends up having to spend the night in the infirmary

And during the night she comes visit him (after stealing James’s invisible cloak) and she is like super stunned about how he protected her and everything and thanks him a lot and was like “you didn’t have to do this”

And Sirius is like “off course I had. You are part of my family now”

From that day on Lily new that Sirius cared for her not because “she was James’s girlfriend” but because she was the new integrant of his small found family

THE RAVEN CYCLE

Many people talk about how they love Adam Parrish but I just wanna say: I absolutely love Gansey.

He’s like the greatest nerd and the biggest dork you can think of. He’s 17 and 50 at the same time. His personal style is horrible. His friends are magical creatures/trees/dead/200 years old professors/Henry Cheng.

He has notebooks full of useless stuff. He lives in an era of smartphones and still makes handwritten notes and snippets of newspapers. He built a miniaturized Henrietta - no normal person would do that.

He had one wild obsession and was ready to give everything including his life for it.

He drives an unpractical and ugly car just because he feels good with it (it’s like the equivalent of wearing t-shirts with superheroes on them).

He’s just such a nerd and I love him for it. And for the fact that he doesn’t even hide it. Even the judge is like “hey did you find your dead king?”, the whole school is like “ah yes the Glendower, Gansey’s bf”.
