Currently reading The Imperial Uncle by Da Feng Gua Guo and you know a book is good when you're in the middle of reading it and you already want to reread it from the beginning just to see all the little details you missed on the first go around.

Going into this book completely blind was the best decision I've ever made. The story so far has left me flabbergasted and "crying, screaming, throwing up" at 3 am on a weekday.

#i have not recovered #should i do a full review once i'm done with it? #must read if you like political intrigue - a gay disaster of an unreliable narrator - complex characters #and sipping wine and grilling meat while your whole world has crashed down around you and you think “this might as well happen”
