I think as much as we all like to think that Bill "here kid have some deer teeth" Cipher was actually literally a perfect gentleman to Ford and that's how he successfully conned him for so long, it's important to remember that Ford's only other friend is an actual literal scooby doo villain and cult leader. I feel like we forget about that aspect of Fiddleford's personality a lot, that he successfully founded a cult and the only reason he's not still leading that cult is because he literally forgot about it. Like the cult's still going strong here. So maybe next time we look at Ford's study and go "haha, silly Ford, purchasing a variety of artifacts with your "friend's" face on them isn't normal! Bill must be some kind of master manipulator to pull one over on you like that!" we should remind ourselves of the fact that Ford spent the 70s rooming with d-list supervillain Fiddleford McGucket and thus he maybe isn't, like, the best metric for judging whether someone's like, super conniving and a master of deceit deception and doublecrossing.

i love stan because it’s usually “he can do no wrong” with characters but no. he can do all the wrong he wants and i’ll still be cheering him on. i actually encourage it, please continue to commit tax fraud and make vaguely threatening hand gestures at cops. smuggle pugs or whatever your crusty heart desires.

some of you people are so obsessed with having an acceptable group to ‘punch up’ at that you would rather pretend a marginalized group are Basically The Oppressors™ than listen to their valid criticisms about the fact that ‘punching up’ very rarely hits the intended target, and the majority of the actual damage of that act is suffered by fellow marginalized people in your own community. there is a significant difference between venting frustrations about privileged groups and just outright attacking anyone who (you assume) experiences that axis of privilege regardless of - and in many cases outright denying - their actual lived experiences. it goes far beyond just ‘venting frustrations’ when what you’re really doing is trying to find a moral justification to bully people you don’t like, and when your own desire for catharsis and moral superiority leads to ignoring the voices of the vulnerable people you hurt. you’re not ‘punching up’ - you just like punching people for the sake of punching.

That's literally the problem with communism. You give unlimited power to one or a few people. That's why there's quite a few dictators in that area.
Not to mention it feeds on the idea that anyone fortunate is exploitative and gives the government all land and the ability to chose who gets what.
I dont see whats so ironic or how thats such good communism propaganda. It's not "Oh some dick did this" it's "the problem with communism is that it gives unlimited power to the top"
read animal farm last night
it seemed like communism was exceedingly good in all regards until one dickhead raised a litter of dogs to kill everyone who disagreed with him and became a dictator. in fact, the book goes to great lengths to luxuriate in how much more efficient and bountiful work under the collective was in comparison to the farmer.
i find it interesting that this book has long been held as the thing weiners tell you to read when you say anything about socialism or communism. like it's supposed to change your mind. there wasn't a subtle or gradual shift into the failure of the system caused by its own faulty construction. everything was just ruined by one cunt who had the power to instantly kill anyone, which seems like something that would cause any system to fail.

The Spiderman Fallacy is a fallacy of itself, being a strawman argument. You don't have to believe anything Christians do to see that.
The crux of the fallacy is that Christians see real historical events in the Bible and say that's proof of everything, which can be used in Spiderman and New York.
No one thinks Jesus was resurrected because a real life pool was mentioned.
The reason why Christians hold those close is because it dates the gospels closer to the life of Jesus.
A later forgery would not have the knowledge the Bible has and throws around casually. Of course main and big knowledge would be available, but the Bible mentions many areas that are so specific it's unlikely some chum in the 200s-300s made it up.
Jesus' crucifixion, Tacitus, sea routes, landmarks, buildings, etc etc. These are small things but big. Also the fact that the gospels are irrefutably saying they are true. You could argue if they are, but they claim to be.
