Stumbled on this blog of a London-based human right's observer's trip to the West Bank in 2013. While there she was attacked by settlers who threw a bucket of bleach at her group, witnessed Israeli soldiers detaining and harassing Palestinian children, and talked to a 13 year old who was detained for 10 days and beaten after his house was raided at 3am. This was 10 years ago. It's only gotten worse since then.

Children saying "I'd rather be dead" is not normal. Children crying "is this a dream?" is not normal. Children wondering "am I being taken to the cemetery?" is not normal.
We can all reckon the lasting psychological effects of this genocide on these children, but also remember that to many of the children of Gaza, this is the second, third, or even fourth Israeli aggression they had to live through.
Almost 50% of Gaza's population are children, over 10,000 of which have been murdered by Israel since October of this year.

Meet Flamewhisper and Zephyrmoon!
Star Snakethorn’s brothers! Zephyr’s a anxiety ridden ball of fluff while Flame’s his gooey big bro. Since they were both neglected/abused by their dad, Star Eaglecry, Flamewhisper dedicated himself to being Zephyr’s rock and shoulder to cry on, which made them close.
However, because of S. Eaglecry’s abuse, Zephyrmoon developed anxiety + PTSD that made them more reliant on Flamewhisper. So Flamewhisper would always try to be there for his brother while attending to his duties.
Flamewhisper has a really complicated relationship with his eldest brother, S. Snakethorn. Flamewhisper does care for him, he really does, but he sees that his father’s influence has changed his brother. While Flamewhisper is concerned about S. Snakethorn’s ethics, he knows that there is nothing he can do so he focuses his time into helping others and Zephyrmoon.
Zephyrmoon is a Demiboy and Gay, their pronouns are He/Them/Their
Flamewhisper is cis and a Heteromantic Asexual and his pronouns are He/Him
