Legend of The Lion King; Backstage

Legend of The Lion King behind the curtain. Photos come from former cast member John Cropp, a puppeteer for the show.

First image John explains, The puppets for the Legend of the Lion King show were life sized mechanical puppets that we either wore as harnesses with the puppet above us controlled by hand mechanisms below or were mounted onto carts like adult Simba and Pumbaa and pushed around while operated from below.

Second photo shows the set stage before the show.

Third photo is John in Rafikis costume.

Fourth photo shows the backstage control board

Fifth photo shows the cast member signature wall. I love these behind the scenes photos!
