i went a little extra with this one (thanks for the sweet ask!)

Zukka Laundromat AU

Disclaimer: My partner came up with this but he doesn’t use Tumblr.

- Classic modern au, no-bending stylez where Zuko and Sokka unwittingly live in the same apartment building.

-As most apartments that are affordable to young people, their building touts having on-site laundry, but it’s essentially four washers and dryers in various states of disrepair in the basement of the building that you still have to pay for even though you literally pay to live there. It’s a wholly inefficient process that has you sitting in an uncomfortable plastic chair for four hours, fifteen dollars poorer, and with barely-clean, still-damp clothes. Plus, it isn’t open all hours, and there is no guarantee that it won’t be occupied already when you get down there.

-That’s where your friendly 24-hour neighborhood laundromat comes in. Okay, yeah, arguably it isn’t much better. It’s still ridiculously expensive and now you have the added inconvenience of having to Leave Your Home to do it, but there are more machines that actually work, you can go whenever you want, AND they have a TV and vending machines.
