hi sorry for everyone with really put together composed professional f/os it's VITAL you imagine them without that mask of perfection. if they're always dressed up you need to imagine them as day turns to night and ties are slanted or undone and jackets unbuttoned and dress shirt sleeves are pushed up in private. they normally would rather drop dead then be seen in this kind of state, but it's different when it's you seeing them. they don't worry as much about it, comfortable enough with your presence to let slip humanity through cracks and gaps (they've already stolen your heart by now, they jest, they wouldn't be foolish enough as to let go of it at this point.).

if its their demeanor, imagine how they let loose in that regard. maybe they get more playful, falling next to you on the couch just to throw their legs over yours in what is clearly a bid for attention, smirked words of how comfortable they are like this, surely you wouldn't push them off and leave them so depsaired and cold, right? maybe they're more sincere with their words, not having to keep them professional and strict, able to openly ask about you in manners so clearly caring and intimate. questions about how your day was, about anything interesting you've seen recently, about if you've got spare time for them to take up. maybe it's just sincere compliments and confessions of care whispered quietly but come off clear enough to break the sound barrier. or something like that.

my brain is so full of thoughts that it won't let me sleep and wants to let me write and imagine things instead and that's only amping it up instead of tiring it out

anyways i came up with the perfect ship name tag that i'm actually stupidly satisfied with, even though it's more of one of those uhhhh trainer epithets than an actual inclination of anything

"The Drægon King & The Færie Queen"

1) fucking love it, it's our fucking aesthetics in some far removed sense. not royalty but also Important People In Certain Places (Blackthorn, Viridian Gym for an unknown bit)

2) yes i know no one spells dragon like that but i wanted them to both sound and look similar and i wanted the a in dragon to be said in the same way that the a in faerie is. sorta

3) imagine. ceremonial or some other fancy Public Event clothes for like some Blackthorn Tradition

4) no one would really call us this until we were settled in at Blackthorn and Lance has taken over fully the role of leader of its Dragon Clan or whatever i'm sleep- deprived at the moment ok and not trying to think too hard here in order to go to sleep

fuck i also had another thought tangentially related to the epithets but i never got around to it. god fucking damn it i knew i should have just written it down while i was halfway thru my first point

oh also working Nevin (tamb) in as his maternal grandfather (humanized!), since I've already had many hcs about his paternal grandfather who is the one that carries the title of leader of dragon clan and stuff. and that Nevin has an almost supernatural ability to see thru people to their very hearts, as some ancient dragon clan/ Blackthorn/ draconid descendant ppl thing. love him. i mean i think of mustard as my adoptive grandfather even though he would be my adoptive dad technically since honey is my adoptive mom but like. details. they don't really matter when it comes to family, do they? (they do)

arceus damn it i still haven't figured out what it was that i wanted to say that finally got me to roll over and start this post just to get it out of my head and on some hypothetical paper

also mandatory idea teasing of him wanting to call a matured silver his heir in the clan even though uhhhh not blood descendant, but husband is not going to get anything from me and that's unfor for him, but i am NOT going to go thru that year long trauma. i will NOT be happy with that path, that's something i unfortunately realized with an old oc over a decade ago. :( anyways, he wouldn't declare silver that if silver didn't want it, he knows silver has a thing about expectations(/im....imper.... i forgor) due to fathers and talks to him about it first. idk if that would actually become a thing for the silver i hc in the far off future for him, i really don't see it bc he doesn't seem like the type to genuinely want group work/ leadership even after everything with giovanni/tr. especially bc of those things. Lance would probably name one of Clair's kids as a successor, since tradition bloodlines blah blah, and he wouldn't want silver to have to go thru unfair expectations all over again, even though silver would be a young adult by that point and gone thru a decent amount of adoptive father therapy and self-discovery to warrant an overall mature enough growth that lance would even think about bringing it up to him

and

also lance punishes aphobes who even DARE to think that he should have the authority/ final say in if we should.... procreate, and you WILL get a nice hyperbeam to the face. Maybe even a superpowered fickle beam after a paldea trip. c:

i STILL never uncovered my original thought following the epithets thing but i totes think it should be our ship name. I've had diff ppl come up with their own for their tagging systems when they rb from me, but none of them have ever felt or hit quite right. but this one feels the bestest and closest. and yes, it needs to be that æ key or whatever you'd call it. bc im weird
