022 - Returning from FanExpo 2014

This past weekend was FanExpo 2014 in Toronto, Ontario. To be perfectly honest, I was not expecting to see anything Kancolle related there at least until 2015 when the anime airs. However, while squirming my way around the masses at the Artist Alley, I saw not one, not two, but THREE different artist booths selling Kantai Collection posters. Understandably, it was mostly Shimakaze and Kongou who were featured, but surprisingly Amatsukaze was featured on her own print as well! (Though I can’t imagine why MAIN CHARACTER Fubuki didn’t get any prints this year.)

All 3 talented artists also provided me with their tumblr, which I am now following eagerly, and I recommend that if you are reading this to check them out as well!

lu-cid-sky had a rather ero print of Shimakaze and her Rensouho-chans, which made it just a little bit awkward to take home. But they were really friendly and nice to talk to! A very cool person!

ofskysociety had a beautiful poster featuring both Shimakaze and Kongou with very cute expressions. Their style of art is very enchanting and their booth was very crowded when I found it.

ranimationage or Rainie G, had a pair of people behind the booth and THREE lovely prints, one each of Shimakaze, Kongou and Amatsukaze. Both of the people tending the booth were very friendly and talkative, and I look forward to visiting you again if you plan on returning to FanExpo next year.

To all 3 artists, I want to give a HUGE Thank You for creating such beautiful Kancolle art (and selling it to me…lol). It totally made my weekend, and now all 5 posters are decorating the walls of my room.
