Especially since it's spelled the same way. I feel like the typical way of spelling is Jason, so it's interesting that they chose to spell it the same way as well.

Hey, Ahsoka fans. Here's some old school EU lore for you.

Hera's kid, Jacen? There was a previous character who used that name: Jacen Solo. In EU canon, Han and Leia married and had twins, Jacen and Jaina. Jacen, at one point, set out to find a path of the Force that wasn't Light or Dark but ended up falling and becoming Darth Caedus.

So that's a VERY interesting name to give to a child of a Force user.

It's honestly making me upset that so many people are reducing Ahsoka being at Padme's funeral to her just looking for Anakin. Ahsoka and Padme were close friends. Maybe part of it is that she's looking for Anakin but she is there because she is mourning and she loved Padme.

Transgender Star Wars Character

Ok so while watching the first episode of The Book of Boba Fett I noticed something interesting. At Garsa’s cantina we see two twi’lek assistants, one male and one female. Well I am here to tell you that the male twi’lek is transgender.

Male Twi’leks have ears similar to human ears, however, female twi’lek head cones that serve as their way to process sound. Here are a few examples:

In an episode of The Bad Batch we see Hera Syndulla’s parents. Her father has ears and her mother has cones

Here we see Bib Fortuna, a male Twi’Lek and like the other males, he has ears

And here we see Jedi Aayla Secura, a female Twi’lek with head cones

I know some fans aren’t big on the animated shows so that is why I included examples from both and also to show that the star wars franchise has been very consistent with this and would be unlikely to make a mistake, it is most likely that this was done on purpose

now it was hard to find good photos of him but you can clearly see this male Twi’lek has cones rather than ears. Also, in the examples above, you can see the male twi’leks have two sort of bumps on their foreheads, and those bumps are absent on this twi’lek. Therefore, I believe this Twi’lek is canonically transgender, probably the first transgender character is Star Wars history. (I do believe Omega from the Bad Batch is also transgender however that does not have the amount of evidence that this case does. I wish more people talked about female composers. The majority of composers I know are male. You know Beethoven, Mozart, Bach, and more recently people like Aaron Copland and John Williams. But I realized recently that I didn’t know a single composer that was a woman. By chance I was looking into the composer Yuki Kajiura and found out that they were actually a woman. I had subconsciously always assumed she was a man because that’s all I ever knew (and I’m pretty sure Yuki is a gender neutral name in Japan so I couldn’t tell the gender just by the name). I want more diversity in the composer profession! I want the world to know of more female composers!

SNK ending theory?

The reason I put a question mark is because I don’t know if this counts as a theory lol. Really this is just my thoughts on chapter 138 and what could possibly happen next. Anyway, let’s get into it:

So we all know that Attack On Titan is heavily influenced by Norse mythology. I talk a lot about this in another post if you wanna check it out (in fact I would recommend reading it before you read this especially if you are not familiar with Norse mythology):

There are countless references to Norse mythology, but one has been becoming more and more relevant. The serpent that gnaws at the roots of the world tree, Yggdrasil (which is remarkably similar to the paths tree), is known as Nidhogg. I believe the weird shiny centipede thingy is inspired by/referencing him.

Not only does it have an almost serpent-like appearance, but it is able to let off some sort of steam/gas that transforms humans into pure titans. I believe this thing is the same being as the spine that first transformed Ymir into a titan.

Now let me explain how the first titan (jötnar) in Norse mythology is created. Not so coincidentally, the first titan in Norse mythology is also named Ymir. It is said that Ymir was born form the venom that dripped down from the frozen river Élivágar. It is presumed that the venom came from the serpent Nidhogg. Nidhogg is last mentioned in the poem Völuspá. Frankly this poem is quite confusing and no one is quite sure what happens to Nidhogg. He first heralds the coming of Ragnarök, and then according to the poem he “sinks”. TBH I don’t know how to relate this to Attack On Titan. But I guess what I’m thinking is that after Mikasa killed Eren the giant centipede stopped attacking. All I know is that the centipede is very confusing and seems very important to the story, you can interpret it however you want, let me know your thoughts on it.

Alright, moving on. The next thing I want to talk about is the alternative universe theory. I took a little inspiration from this theory. It’s really interesting and I recommend reading it:

While I’m not sure I agree entirely with this theory it does make a lot of sense. I’m also not sure I believe the high school alternate reality exists, but I do believe there is some sort of alternate reality, if not multiple. In the latest chapter we see Mikasa have some sort of “vision” where she and Eren had ran away to live together in peace.

Eren also had a vision/dream of this in the very beginning of the manga.

In his dream we also see a seen with a bunch of dead scouts. Isayama’s original plan was to have everyone die in the end. Now perhaps there was another reality where that did happen

Now, I know alternate realities may seem a bit far fetched but this is why I believe they could exist in Attack on Titan. You know how Eren manipulated Grisha using paths and how he went back with Zeke to show him? And how Eren Kruger mention Mikasa and Armin to Grisha before they were even born? Well using paths, Eren is basically time travelling, and y’all know time travel never turns out well. There will always be different time lines and realities and a bunch of confusing heck. Could Mikasa killing Eren “wake him up” in a different reality? In Norse mythology after Ragnarök the survivors repopulate the earth and the world begins anew, I’m willing to bet something similar will happen in Attack on Titan. Stuff I’d Like to See When (manifesting) Seasons 2/3/4 Happen

These are just some things that would bring colour back into my life if they were included in future seasons of JATP. No big.

JULIE’S A WITCH. She has super crazy powers and so did her mom and that’s why the Molina women’s music is so fucking electric it’s because every performance is fucking imbued with force magic. She doesn’t have to like, learn the books or whatever, it’s more sorcerer-y than that, but like her spell focus is performance and I love that for her. Remember how she made the sun rise by performing Wake Up? Yeah <3.

Willex duet. Not a ballad, but like something giddy. They’re in love and they dance and hold hand and kiss idk.

Rose and the Petal Pushers songs. I will not rest until I know what Rose’s compositional output was like pre-Julie.

Carrie redemption arc. She obviously has lots of feelings that deserve to be heard before being gently told that no one’s trying to steal her spotlight.

Expansion of the found family. They have room for, like, 4 more in that garage, no problem.

More flashback footage to 1995-ish. Maybe we open on them again before cutting to just after the end of Stand Tall. Maybe they’re playing another Sunset Curve song. Maybe.

Booboo Stewart on the soundtrack.

More Jadah Marie on the soundtrack.

Official last names for Willie, Flynn, Nick and Bobby.

Names for Dirty Candy 3, 4 and 5.

Madison mentioned wanting episodes that are just denser in their song count and I could not agree more. A soundtrack thats like musical-length would be grand.

‘This Band is Back’s for Luke, Alex, Julie and Bobby/Trevor (post his redemption, which he deserves), and ‘Wake Up’/’Unsaid Emily’s for Alex and Reggie.

The boys run into more young people ghosts. They don’t have huge roles - they’re like tertiary - but they have like a hangout spot that isn’t evil af? And the boys + Willie can all go hang out there if they want and get some nice exposition from some quirky ghost kids. Some of them should be old as shit too.

Caleb has a boss. The boss is played by a theatre legend. Pick your fave. (I want Patrick Page. No I will not elaborate.)

Dirty Candy break up for like 3 episodes. All the girls, rightfully, want to front for a song and Carrie takes it as a personal attack because of course she does. Potentially this acts as a catalyst for the redemption arc bc honestly? Julie just thinks Carrie looks lost when she’s alone. They reunite before the season’s up and we get a song where they all have lines.

Reggie has a moment where he’s piecing together all the lore they’ve been taught about ghosthood so far and suddenly just this truckload of myth knowledge spills out of him, like, ‘If we were meant to be following the book of the dead we would have been finished ages ago because we haven’t been returning to our graves each night. But the dark room certainly wasn’t Elysium because it fucking sucked and I don’t remember willingly coming back for a chance at ultra-ultra paradise.’ and everyone’s just like, ‘…Where were you storing that?’ and potentially that’s when Reggie says he’s bi.

Possessed!Nick just slowly starts developing a better sense of style. More artsy hoodies, better-placed rips in the jeans, fewer badly-shaped hats (he can keep wearing hats, they’ve just gotta frame his head better), until someone (Flynn, probably) up and says like “something is seriously wrong with Nick. He looks like he’s about to be interviewed for GQ.” and thats when they realise.

We see Carlos do like a full Bella-googling-vampires thing except it’s just “can sisters fall in love with ghosts?” and the info is just very poorly sourced Quora and Yahoo Answers posts.

They actually perform Home is Where my Horse is. The absolute madlads.

Flynn gets put in the band for a couple shows to just play the instruments that fill in the gaps. Like that guy in Yello who was in charge of tapes. Like, trumpet in the Middle 8, temple block drumfill into Chorus 2. She’s running across the stage but it’s fine. At some point she learns the harmonica. She’s vibing.
