a/n: ive been gone for centuries lol, sorry i got into a big school and underestimated the workload. finished this because i ditched my case study after a breakdown.

ARTEM WING

he just wants to work, so why won't you just let him work? "i'm fine, mc. i promise, so please, just give me some time to work in peace." he knows he's being snappy, and it isn't fair to you, who just wants to help him, but it's not like he's dying.

you come behind him and tenderly place your hands on his shoulders. "you're sick, artem. please rest?" he sighs, he's trying to understand you, after all he'd do the same for you, but he can't help the nagging feeling of annoyance pulling on his chest.

"mc, i really need you to get out of my office right now. okay?" he doesn't intend for his tone to be so sharp, so mean, but that's exactly how it comes out. you sigh and do as he says, not before giving him a soft kiss on his scalp.

artem then proceeds to go back to work, or at the very least, he tries to. he feels sick and he feels guilty. he reluctantly gets up and opens his office door, greeted by the sight of warm soup and some tea prepped up by his doorstep.

his legs move faster than his brain, and before he knows it, he's already wrapping his arms around you on the bed. he relishes the feeling of your fingers running through his hair. 'it's good to be sick once in a while', he thinks.

MARIUS VON HAGEN

he playfully nudges you away, "i'm fiiiine." his voice is nasally and hoarse, and his skin is paling. you both know he's not fine. "marius, i'm serious right now. let's get you to bed." he refuses again, his hands still typing away on the laptop, despite your tugging on his sleeve.

you even go as far as to try and entice him to bed. "come on, i'll even join you." he grins at that. "tempting offer, but this needs to get done asap, mc." you sigh at his stubbornness. "marius, you look like you're at death's doorstep." but he doesn't budge.

eventually, you're left no choice but to make him some soup and resign yourself to the sofa behind him. you're tapping away on your phone when you feel it. the sofa dips beside you, and he drops his head into your lap.

"mc, my head hurts so bad. i think i'm dying." you roll your eyes but your fingers almost reflexively start to massage his forehead. "that's why i told you to get off your computer and come rest." he sighs into your stomach as your ministrations on his skin relieve him of some pain.

"mm, you're always right, mc. offer still up for the bed." you help him up on his feet. "yeah. but don't get any ideas. you're sick." he lays his head on your shoulder, "'m not that sick." he proceeds to collapse on the bed within seconds of laying down.

LUKE PEARCE

he's coughing his heart out and you're to your knees in worry for him. he, as always, assures you that it's nothing. in the morning, he tells you he was just choking on breakfast. now, he's telling you that he just swallowed wrong.

"luke, you're not fine. please just rest." you plead with him to the best of your abilities, but he refuses to budge. luke smiles at you reassuringly. "for what? just something in my throat is all." you sigh, knowing there isn't much you can do to argue with him.

he goes back to tinkering an old watch a client left for him to fix. you hear a sharp intake of breath and luke slowly turns around. you look up, and you nearly collapse yourself once you see the blood dripping from his nose, down to his shirt.

you're quickly standing next to him, panicking. luke calmly instructs you what to do, and you follow his words. your hands tremble as you tend to him, and he lets you lead him to the bedroom.

that night, he can barely sleep. he's tossing and turning, going between shivering cold and sweating hot. you spend the night kissing his tears away, brushing the damp strands of hair away from his forehead, and adjusting the ac as needed. he finally falls asleep during the early peaks of the morning, his hand tightly wrapped around yours.

VYN RICHTER

vyn is a stubborn man. you should be used to it by now. there's no point in arguing with him, especially when he's dead set on something. but you wish that he'd just listen to you this once. "vyn, you aren't fine. you're sniffling and clearing your throat ever five seconds." he repeats the same thing he told you five minutes ago.

"it's just a cold, don't worry too much about it." but what kind of cold has him staggering as he walks or refusing lunch because he just has no appetite? you come over and wrap your arms around him, a frown on your face. he kisses your jaw and goes back to his papers.

you try to tug on his shoulder gently. "please? just listen to me this once. please?" he signs something, before humming. he sighs and stands up from his seat. "alright. lead the way." you take his hand and lead him to the bedroom. you lay him down, and he thinks it's sweet how much you care for him.

he thinks it's sweet until he's on the brink of insanity because he feels absolutely sick and you're busy getting some medicine for him. "mc, just let me die, i need you here," he whines from the bedroom. you've heard the same thing in about 30 variations in 5 minutes.

once you get back with his pills, he practically inhales the drugs and latches onto you. he grabs you by the arm and pulls you in. "please stay," he asks, in a voice softer than you've ever heard from him. "you won't let me go anyway," you reply. he hums smugly.

gets really worked up about it and doesn’t know why either. you get a good laugh about it.

VYN RICHTER

sly smile, massages your shoulders, a soft peck on the lips, “is that better for your brain?”

if you said that because you having difficulty with something, he tries to help, but between you and him, he’s not the one who knows what’s going on

he knows he should have kept you at arm's length. when you saunter into his office with the invitation, he realizes that you were part of his 1% loss rate. and it crushes him.

he thinks he's not made for love. it's not a difficult truth, he can live without sappy and sentiment. it would be nice, but he can make do. but then you walked into his life the same way you did his office - full of charm and cheer, and it changes everything.

but he congratulates you anyways, because he's your senior and it's what is expected; and he attends, because he's your coworker and it's what is expected; and he doesn't object, because he's your friend and it's what is expected.

but he almost tears himself in half wishing that he was on the podium with you, the one kissing you, the one marrying you. he wishes that it was expected for you to be with him. fuck being seniors, coworkers, and friends. it isn't what he wants.

it's easier to never try something than to get a taste and never have it again.

MARIUS VON HAGEN

he wishes his heart had a refund system. marius was a jack of all trades. he had more money to his name than he knew what to use for. marius was the textbook definition of 'many'. unfortunately, his heart didn't seem to get the memo.

he's not a pushover. a no is a no, and it never bothers him. he does things by himself just fine. so he thinks that maybe he was total dickwad in his past life when he realizes that his heart a one time use kind of bargain.

so when he stares at you there, in white and in tears, he swears at the heavens. he isn't mad that you don't love him, isn't mad that he loved you, rather that he still does.

because he thought that if he'd seen for himself that you were with someone else, ultimately, he'd move on. that in being happy for you, he'd be happy with himself. but clearly that isn't the case, not with the way he begs whatever supreme being is out there to give him another chance.

VYN RICHTER

he's not going, no point in torturing himself. he was with his family, he'll tell you. he wasn't: he was busy denying himself the pleasure of not sobbing himself to sleep.

it was just another one of his white lies. like when he told you that he was glad you met your fiance. or when he told you that he was happy with your choice. or that time he told you that he was doing completely fine.

but he refuses to attend your ceremony. to hell with it, even if it means that he's being selfish. because deep down he wants you to get the day you deserve, and if he sees you there with another, he might ruin that for you. he might get up and object.

and vyn doesn't feel like ruining your wedding day.

LUKE PEARCE

he tries so hard to be happy for you. he's your best friend, for god's sake. if anyone was going to celebrate this moment of your life, it was going to be him. at least that's what he tells himself.

but how's he supposed to be happy when he sees the familiar glint in your eye. when he sees the little curve of your smile. when he feels your warmth, just out of reach. how is he supposed to sit still when you're so close.

but he takes another look and he sees you. your bright eyes, your grin, and your love. and if any other day, he was willing to fight for you, today, he'll stay seated. because you're happy now, and he'll gladly be miserable from his cushioned seat if it meant you'd have the wedding of your dreams.

so sure, he's supposed to be happy for you, but he knows you can be happy enough for the both of them.

characters: all sypnosis: you'd come up with a fever, and the symptoms seem to be showing up, just not on you.

“i’m really okay, what are you four going on about?” they turn to you, then they turn away ignoring your comment. maybe you’re not completely okay, but you were mostly fine, and that’s what mattered. but what you didn’t expect is for stellis’ top bachelors to suddenly act like children.

"mc, this is a serious fever..." says vyn, pressing a hand on your forehead. you did feel a bit sluggish, and maybe you had a cold, but these four were definitely overreacting.

marius runs up next to you on the nxx couch, taking your hand. “if it hurts, hold my hand...i can’t leave you yet.” his face is crumpled in anguish and you don’t know if it pains more to see him genuinely concerned or that he’s worried about nothing.

“marius, i’m not in labor. get off me.” he sobs, walking away as you’d told him to. “i’ll miss you, mc...”

you groan at their worried looks. “i’m feeling so okay right now, it’s unbelievable.”

their concerned looks remain. luke looks like he’s genuinely about to cry.

“i’m so sick of you four.”

anguish.

marius practically throws himself on you.

“it’s just a small fever.”

that’s how you find yourself bundled up in artem’s bed, being hand fed artem’s signature soup by luke, vyn hastily checking your vitals. marius, as usual, doesn’t do anything too productive. he remains by your bedside, holding your hand. “don’t leave me!!”

"i wouldn't call a high fever 'nothing', mc," chides vyn, unknowingly pouting.

to your left, artem pries marius and luke off of you. "give them space. plus, you guys might get sick too." you're relieved that at least someone in the room is functioning as normal.

you turn to him to thank him and spot him fighting back tears and you sigh. these four looked like they were faring worse than you were.

and you were the sick one.

Forgot to put on the ask, tears of Themis is an interesting fun game. I never focus on the romance much, but the story of the game. I love the detective part of the game. But Artem is an appealing character to me.

yessss, tears of themis has that good balance of plot and ?fan-service?, its engaging but not too much that it derives from the original timeline. though, i will say that im more partial to the early chapter cases (pre-nxx crazies)

when he finally does finally get you to himself, he totally deflects it.

“why’d you call me here? does it have something to do with the pro-”

I was wondering if I could request a Artem x trader where reader is feeling a bit insecure since she isn’t able to spend time with Artem, due to her work (maybe detective work(?) so she feels a bit neglected due to that and gets jealous since Artem has been busy with work as well and his time with Rosa (even though Rosa has feelings for someone else) Maybe just Artem and trader consulting each other fluff! They can already be in a relationship or pre relationship!!!

character: artem wing a/n: HI ITS BEEN A WHOLE MONTH LOL school is piling up on me soz </3 sypnosis: you miss artem even when he’s only a room away.

crime seemed to be in the air, and it sucked. objectively, it sucked because people seemed to be dropping left and right. subjectively, it sucked because that meant neither you nor artem had any time to rest, much less, rest together.

other than a few quick pecks and fleeting, apologetic glances at each other at yet another cancelled dinner reservation, your life seemed to be so devoid of love. so devoid of artem. so, in one of the rarer 5 minutes of silence, you quickly rush into his office.

“y/n?” he looks up and you swear he looks better and better. he makes stress look good.

“i miss you.” you utter, collapsing on the sofa adjacent to his office table.

you receive an empathetic, affectionate smile as he looks up from the pile of papers scattered on his desk. “i miss you too. if i could get away from all of this, you know i would.”

before you could respond, a knock rings out. you sigh reluctantly. celestine’s grimacing smile told you all you needed to know. “i know its your break right now, y/n, but we just got more updates on multiple cases and even the interns are full right now.”

“yeah, alright. i’ll be there.” you send artem a small smile, and his eyes follow your body leave his room. admittedly, it was breaking a part of him to not be able to spend even a good minute with you uninterrupted.

when you return to your apartment, you almost collapse from the sheer exhaustion of it all. and a few hours later you hear a knock on your door. you’d just gotten one of those video monitor doorbell things, so that’s one thing you have going for you. -1 boyfriend +1 cool doorbell

you sigh, drowsily walking to the door. lo and behold, artem stood there, waving at the camera - eyebags, papers, and all. you quickly let him in.

“hi, love.”

“oh my god. artem, it’s like,” you glance at the clock, “12. what are you doing here?”

“sorry, were you asleep?”

“no, i didn’t mean it like that! why aren’t you asleep??”

he looks at you sheepishly. “i just got off.”

“what??”

“let me sleep here, ok? i don’t want to drive home today.”

before you agree, his body gets the better of him and he falls asleep right there. standing up, and head resting on your shoulder. and as much as it hurts your heart to do so, you’re forced to wake him up so he could at least get to the bed.

“let’s head to the bed, okay?”

“as long as you’re there.”
