Presenting for the first time for English-speaking audiences: Roll and Laura - Secret of the Cloud-sailing Castle (Roll to Laura - Ukigumojou no Himitsu), a 2002 one-off movie from the Anpanman franchise.

In an unusual case for the franchise, the movie focuses less on Anpanman and Baikinman, and more on relationship between the two girls: Rollpanna and Laura. When it’s discussed by Japanese fans it tends to be referred as a love story and it’s famous for being a huge tearjerker.

It’s a really special movie, developing in a short time in a very tender way the relationship between the two girls. I recommend it to both Anpanman fans and people who have never watched Anpanman before. It is very accessible, though reading a little on Rollpanna’s character first will make it easier to follow her motivations.

2009 Horrorman and Akubidori

While our heroes were having a day out, Akubidori (Yawn Bird) flew by, who’s yawn causes everyone around to fall asleep. They all had a shared dream, in which Horrorman had to save a princess Dokinchan from Shokupanman, who was now an evil knight. Throughout the dream, Baikinman is made to transform into various things for Horrorman to ride on.

2009 Mimi Sensei and Inarizushi no Mikoto

Mimi sensei is bringing her students on a picnic to eat inarizushi, where they plan to meet up with Inarizushi no Mikoto (Lord of inarizushi). Baikinman interrupts, but is defeated quickly. While the children learn to cook inarizushi, Baikinman creates a giant fox robot to take it all for himself!

2009 The Denden Troupe and Dokinchan

Daikon Yakusha saves some children from Baikinman, and Baikinman swears revenge. Baikinman decides to try to ruin his next play, and steal all the o-den too! Meanwhile, Dokinchan just wants to be in the play to impress her crush, Shokupanman. Dokinchan is upset that she has to be the evil queen in the Snow White performance, and not Snow White herself, but she ends up impressing Shokupanman regardless.

2009 Naganegiman and Durian Knight

Naganegiman rescues Queen Durian from Baikinman, and as usual, she demands him to become her servant. Naganegiman escapes her, but Queen Durian gets a new idea: become a masked hero like Naganegiman! She dubs herself “Durian Knight”, and through sheer luck, defeats Baikinman. Uncle Negi finds himself having to become Naganegiman to save her from Baikinman yet again when she takes a nap after a hard days work of hero-ing (and possibly causing more trouble than good).

2009 Kurayamiman and Cherohikii San

Anpanman, Cherohikii san, and the others all get captured by Kurayamiman before Cherohikii san can put on his concert. Kurayamiman is an evil monster who sends them to his world of darkness, where they have to keep their spirits up to escape. Baikinman helps out this time, with Cherohikii san being one of Baikinman’s only true friends.

Hey guys! I’m going to try reviving this blog. I currently have a LOT of Anpanman DVD sets that came with every episode of Anpanman from a particular year. I have about 6 or 7 years worth of Anpanman. While it’s impossible to rip all of them, I wanted to share at least some of the content. So I’m going to take ten screencaps from each ep chronologically that I have on these disc sets, every day! First is 2009.

Anpanman christmas stream

This Thursday’s episode of Anpanman is a two-part Christmas special, they have a new one every year! I do my best to translate and say what’s happening, since there’s no subs, but it’s a baby show so it’s easy to follow. I will stream at 7:55pm central time Thursday night on my livestream channel so watch for me to post!

The first preview for the next Anpanman movie was shown! It’s called “Soreike! Anpanman: Omocha no Hoshi no Nanda to Runda” or “Nanda and Runda of Toy Planet”

The large robot is Nanda, while the small toy-like girl is Runda! They appear to be friends. Runda has a magic wand called the “Toy Stick”. I think it can make toys appear? That’s what I can gather. Anyway it looks very cute! Can’t wait to see more previews.

I was just wondering! have you been streaming them as of late? I've never been able to see the stream but the site records it so I'd look at the recordings but.. it still only shows the christmas one- so I'm just curious!

I have been streaming! After the christmas special there was a few week break of no episodes, but there has been a few weeks of eps since then. i stream every friday at 1:20am central time (4:20pm japan time. they do not have daylight savings so sometimes it changes for us)

currently i’m working on figuring out why some of my recent streams aren’t saving to my stream channel, sorry about that ): I’m not sure why theyre not.
