I like to think Ortus was forced into babysitting duty to bond with the young Reverend Daughter and the reason Harrow has the Noniad memorized is because he would read it to her every night as a bedtime story and she had no power to stop it because she was like 3.
Another AO3 thing I’m curious about, how do yall decide if something is good enough to read? Usually I follow a rule of 1 kudos for every 10 hits. One because it’s easy math and two it’s yet to fail me. Thoughts? Do you just go for it and pray it’s good?
im sure i'm not the first person to post about this but I haven't seen anyone talking about how ortus ninegad is a anagram?? Like in HTN one of the first times that the name swap thing happens in harrows brain, it's described as seeming like an anagram (I can't recall the exact quote but it def uses that word specifically). That made me curious if it was an anagram for anything, which it is.
For Gideon Saturn. Which feels way too on-brand to be a coincidence, right? I don't know what it means, but it has to mean something.
(please if u have theories help I wonder about this constantly)
thinking about how harrow called gideon “the greatest cavalier the ninth has ever produced” and like…. that just sounds like a topic of debate for harrow and ortus to bicker over. like i can just imagine harrow writing a 200 page overly personal counterargument to the noniad. gideon vs nonius is their messi vs ronaldo
