Danny Fenton was tired. He was also annoyed, just a little bit angry and disappointed, but mainly he was tired.
Tired of the excuses, of the missed dates, of the nights he waited for Dick to come home only for him to show up in the morning with a sheepish smile and an excuse.
He tried to be understanding, he tried to ignore the instincts that screamed that Dick was leaving him, that he was finally getting tired of him and had found someone else.
The problem was that ghosts were beings of emotion. They loved with all their core, they also hated with the same passion, but Danny ignored that. If their partner was not as dedicated, the ghost suffered, their core tried to reach out, form and maintain the bond all alone. Some ghosts even ended up with cracked or shattered cores because they fell for the wrong person.
Danny foolishly thought he would be spared this, he was still half human after all. He was forced to let go of that illusion today. This evening was his and Dick's anniversary dinner. They had planned this months in advance and Dick never even showed up.
Danny felt his core crack on the way home. Not a big break, just a little barely noticeable nick, but given time it could grow deeper and shatter him. So Danny made the decision and packed his things, left a note letting Dick know and left.

I love that idea, Danny being his own supernova. I could see Bruce or any of the other kids describing him as such before this whole Event played out.
No one knows where Danny went, they searched all of the manor, the secret passages, every nook and cranny of the batcave. They go to his normal hangouts; that coffee place he goes with Tim or the graveyard where he cleans the tombs on his free time with Jason. The arcade he visits every week with Dick... No one can find him.
the time passes, a couple of days, maybe a week. They start seeing some suspicious things here and there, a circle on a map drawn with a sparkle pen, a post it note with some starts and a few letters. Danny's favorite model rocket is suddenly on Bruce's desk, Tim´s photos of the old observatory now have this green tint...
Eventually they get the memo and go to the old observatory that became obsolete when Wayne Enterprises came with newer and better technology. They don't find Danny. But he was definitely here. There is a hammock in place, a mini fridge with snacks and water, magazines and books thrown around. And a summoning circle that glows bright Lazarus green with a letter in the middle.
Dear Mr. Wayne and company.
You are hereby invited to High Crowned Prince Daniel James Wayne Phantom coronation; As per tradition his living family shall accompany him on this joyous moment and the Protector of said family is gifted the first dance with His Majesty.
You and your family shall step onto the travel circle from which you can enter the Infinite Realms and attend this event. Once you have entered the circle, break the sigil attached to this letter.
They do as instructed, the portal takes them to a room colored a deep purple, they hear voices before they can even see and when they fully appeared, they are greeted by the same sight that started all of this, Danny waltzing in Thomas´ arms as Martha directs them.
Danny: "Oh hey Dad."
Bruce: "Don't 'hey' me, you disappeared for 3 days"
Danny; "Really? I thought it would be like a week. I did stayed in the Shelter 2 days before Grandad brought me here"
Dick: "Wait. Which one? Grandad Thomas? or Grandad Alfred?"
Danny: "Neither, Grandad Cronos."
Steph: "Cronos is our Grandfather?"
Damian: "I want to know whats this about a coronation"
Cass: "I want to know why you ran away"
Danny: "Oh that, I was super afraid you would reject me like my last family but Thomas and Martha helped me calm down and realize some things. So I'm ready to answer any questions Bruce"
Bruce: "... Why did my parents teach you to dance and they hired a dance teacher for me? I wanted to bond with them like that."
Thomas: "Bruce, my boy, you were a horrible dancer and I have my limits."
As per tradition;
On the day of the coronation, it's mandatory for the soon to be crowned king/queen to dance with the lords and ladies of the infinite realms (read: family members), dead or alive, as well as the royal council.
Seeing as the fact that his coronation is probably right around the corner, Danny panics. Why? Well, because he has no knowledge of ballroom dancing. Though, that's fine! At least his late grandparents knows! The other problem? Well, he doubts that it'll be a good idea for him to practice with his adoptive dad's parents, considering he hasn't seen them in years...and because they're ghosts....
Cue his genius idea to do it when his family's out and about. Thank ancients they respected the fact that he refused to become a vigilante. (honestly he doubts being the king of an entire dimension is a better fate but whatever)
So he sneaks into one of the many large rooms that are used to hold his father's galas, and practices with miss and mister Martha and Thomas Wayne. It's a miracle that none of his siblings found out for a pretty long while, but one day out of all people, all of them caught him.
Yes, all of them.

I want angst. I want Danny running away (or flying away) or even just turning invisible by sheer anxiety force. This would let Bruce and the rest to talk a little with Martha and Thomas but they neither party wants to without Danny so Bruce is like "I missed you but I need to find and help Danny" "We understand and we are so proud of you for putting your children first."
Later though I can imagine a Martha and Thomas talking with his son in an attempt to help him through the trauma and maybe even forgive himself and learn that he has the right and duty to take care of himself

I had a dream where bowser junior was palm side, like those tiny turtles on pet stores. He came to visit me and made a bee line to my reptile enclosure, he buried himself in the rocks and let the heat lamps warm him. Once I woke up I thought it made sense. All koopas are turtles that live in a magma cover kingdom. They use fire and magma for attacks and as decoration. I would assume that when they go out to mushroom kingdom and other places, their skin get really dry. Now I imagine big bowser on a sandbath with Luigi on top of him. Just chilling and letting the heating lamp do its work.

So I heard this thing about aros wanting to trend tomorrow over certain holiday.
I'm ace and I have a few significant platonic relationships. So being aro/ace is pretty great.
Also! A friend of mine came foward yesterday since they suspect of being ace. I was proud to say that the aro/ace community is the most chill community and we just want people to be comfortable with how they love and form relationships. Even if you don't want to label it.
We are the people who find love in the most simple things in a healthy way instead of fixating on the "perfect kind of love"

Why does SoSu betrays the Commonwealth and joins the Nuka World Raiders? Deacon edition
Had to publish it separately for order sake. But it's the same exact thing that I reblogged earlier. A continuation to this
Deacon genuinely loves Sole, they love EVERYTHING Sole Survivor does (except straight up murder) and yeah, maybe Sole can never be sure about the lying but they didn't think Deacon lied about loving them or wanting to help them find their son. Both of them spent hours talking about what to do if they found him, how they would delegate more railroad missions and raise Shaun together in county crossing (close to bunker hill and HQ but far from the city) they even started building a little shack for the three of them.
And then the betrayal happens.
When Sole asked Deacon to save the scientists and Father he felt conflicted because this is his WHOLE LIFE he has spent time and energy into the railroad. He didn't changed his face constantly and pushed everyone out of his life for nothing.
So he ratted them out. After the whole mass fusion thing he regrets it. But he felt like Sole betrayed him first when they asked him to throw everything he knows and stands for because they told him. He now knows that he asked them to do the same thing first.
So he searches for Sole. Sole is the one to find him. They attack one of the safehouses for the Raiders and Deacon was called in to help defend it. When he sees them he tries to apologize but Sole tells him "You have nothing to apologize for. You were, are, and always will be a liar. It's in your blood. I was always good at catching your lies but I guess not good enough. But don't worry I won't fall for it again now that I know that you care for nothing but yourself. "
Maybe Sole shoots them, maybe they capture him to make him a slave or maybe Gage does it because that's his lover's ex and he isn't fond of sharing.

Why does the Sole Survivor betray the Commonwealth to join the Nuka World Raiders?
So I’ve recently replayed the nuka world dlc and it got me thinking. What could drive Sole to betray all they have work for in the main game like that? What happened in main game for them to do this? What made them change sides?

Sole Survivor with severe separation anxiety
I imagine a Sole that didn't come out of the Vault as unscathed as they have us believe. At the beginning when they didn't have any relationships aside from Codsworth, they didn't notice much. Even with their first companion they didn't notice.
But after switching companions, they start experimenting nightmares, insomnia, seek of physical contact, chills, shaking, etc. It starts small like waking up in the middle of the night with a heavy heart or a misstep on their traveling while thinking of first companion. Then the chills start and the insomnia. The last symptoms would be night terrors and panic attacks.
Current companion catches on eventually and tries to coax them to talk about it. But even Sole doesn't know what's happening. Current companion offers to put their bedrolls together and sleeping together and it helps. It really helps. The night terrors disappear along with the panic attacks, the insomnia recedes but the waking up with a heavy hearts still occurs.
When they reunite with old companion or when they talk with a Commonwealth doctor, they discovered that these symptoms are from trauma. Their subconscious believe that their loved ones disappear or die if they losses sight or closeness from them. This is because of what happened in the Vault, when Sole woke up from cryo their family was dead, their neighbors gone, their family and friends and acquaintances. Their home and city and country. They are ALL GONE.
Sole has to live with this. He starts coping in different ways like grounding techniques and self taught psychosocial therapy. Mental health is a spectrum, we got good days and bad days, so when Sole is having a bad day, they hold their companion's hand or grabs their arm. Their companion grounds them in different ways like rationalizing their thoughts, delaying their ideas, using physical touch or distracting them. (should I write a companions react with how each companion helps sole through this?)
I imagine a Sole Survivor asking their romanced companion to hold them at night or to sleep face to face because if they wake up facing the wall they freak out. I imagine a severely wounded Sole resting alone in a bed or room and when they wake up alone and in an unfamiliar place, it may trigger a panic attack or a dissociating episode.

Sole is a prewar person with strong morals who wanted to stop the war and was ready to become a whole ass activist to stop it.
Then, they join a faction that helps people one way or another, they rebuild the commonwealth one settlement at a time and even if they show violent tendencies or greed or even apathy, you still have to do the right thing (a general right thing like stopping a murdered by killing them instead of making him see the error of his ways). So throught the whole game they are helpful and want to build something.
So, why do they became a raider? REVENGE.
Sole already visited nuka world and became overboss, or at least had some contact with Gage and the raiders. They leave when they ask them to take over the commonwealth because they still have friends and family in there. Also, big morals.
I imagine a Sole whose main faction ordered them to blow the Institute and they refused. A Sole that wanted to rescue their son and save the scientists but whose faction saw this as betrayal or a coop. All those scientists were at fault for creating the synths, for abusing technology, for the disaperences and the deaths, of the fear that took a hold of the Commonwealth as a whole. All of them deserved to fall with their home. None of them deserved redemption.
Sole is mad that this is the hill their faction decided to died on. They try to go against them anyway, sneaking letters or sending another companion to get the scientists to run. But the faction catches on almost immediately and acts on their plan to avoid any more obstacles. Maybe the companion they trusted ratted them out. I want to see multiple companions against Sole and their resolve to save the Institute.
Imagine Sole being grabbed by their arms on top of the mass fussion building while the faction stand over the detonator, repeating their monologue while Soul just cries. A quiet cry with tears running down their face. And then the faction approach the detonator and Sole just starts screaming, they elbow their captors and tackles the faction leader and starts beating them while screaming bloody murder about how they trusted them, how after everything they gave the faction still chooses their paranoia over their true enemies and about how they betray their oath of protecting the commonwealth when they are about to destroy a large part of it. If romanced (Deacon or Preston) then they also yell how they thought he cared about them and their situation but he only cares about his own mission.
The rest of the faction catches them again and hold them down while the faction finally detonates the bomb. Sole struggles, yells and cries. After a few minutes they keep quiet and rests their forehead on the ground, promising to end this faction and make all who were with them PAY. (This includes settlements like Abernathy, Finch Farm or even the Slog) .
The faction lets them go since they had a huge part on their victory. Maybe they demote them or full on expell them but Sole gets to walk away.
Sole takes dogmeat and goes straight to nuka world. They are going to burn this city to the ground. The Commonwealth took their baby and there was hell to pay.
... extra points if that faction was the minutemen and Sole is just disgusted by the doble morals. (also applied to the railroad and Desdemona that treats the courses as ITS even though they are synths too)

Time to continue this. Like headcanons beyond this.
Danny is chatting with the League, explaining how they live in the Infinite Realms where all dimensions and universes are conected. That his son fell in a rift a few years ago and he is DESPERATE to find him and how are there so many PLACES. He is just tired, he hasn't stopped looking for Jason since his disappearance.
So he is in the middle of explaining when he feels it. He stays quiet for a moment, tears start falling while he wraps his head about HIS KID suffering the same pain he did. Having to live through that like HE DID and being alone on that moment. How could he called himself a father, a protector, a king, if he couldn't protect his kid from that destiny.
He Wails
Reverse Bruce (DC x DP)
Danny adopts Jason who stumbles into a natural portal aged 7. He does not miss Willis. Danny is currently the Ghost King and living full time in the zone.
Danny loves his son. I'm picturing him as a colossus like in Blister Pack if you know that fic, but you don't have to. He dotes on his human child and protects him with ferocity that straight up scares any of his rowdier subjects. They touch him and they're about to discover what comes after the afterlife.
Then five years later, when Jason is 12, either under the power of a rogue or by stumbling back out the way he came, Jason is returned to his Earth.
Danny immediately starts to look for him. But the realms are infinite. Jason could be anywhere inside or outside the realms. Danny and his army have to check every single person on every single version of Earth.
If Jason rejoins the infinite realms, Danny will know. Other than that, all he can do is look.
Jason knows this. So, all he can do is wait. On the streets of Gotham. He waits for his dad.
Jason does okay, he was 7 when he left so he remembers enough about the 'real' world to take care of himself and not be declared a raving lunatic or shanked.
Batman picks him up not for taking his tyres, but because Jason was investigating Batman in case he was a ghost. Jason tells Bruce, Alfred, Grayson, anyone who will sit still long enough that he's not Bruce's new kid. Jason will just stay with him until his Dad comes to get him.
Willis died in prison years ago. They tell him and are concerned that it's not sinking in when he doesn't seem to care.
Jason still becomes Robin, his time in the Zone giving him excellent aerial abilities as he's used to operating without pesky gravity harshing his vibe. So once he's got a grapple gun he's good to go. He and Dick bond beautifully over it.
(There is so much content in Jason raised by Danny as a concept.)
Over time he grows to care about Bruce but insists that he still has a dad who loves him. He declines a legal adoption.
Three years later, Jason is dying in Ethiopia. He calls out for Bruce and then Danny. Neither can hear him. Then he's dead.
Danny's still looking over in the CBS Supergirl universe.
Bruce is only a mile away.
Jason wakes up in his coffin and the next part goes how you would think.
Then Danny shows up. An army of ghosts cloud the sky and demand the son of their king back. They're threatening but non-violent.
The king - while terrifying - is actually fairly reasonable when confronted by the Justice League and UN representatives.
Then Danny feels it when Jason comes into contact with a pool of ectoplasm leeching right from the infinite realms. Someone has his kid. Possibly the same person who took or lured him away from the realms. Someone has his son and they're hiding him away from Danny.
