In honor of graduation season, please remember that the cullens VOLUNTARILY went to high school more than once?!?! Sick masochistic lion is 100% accurate bruh I-
I'd go straight to the Volturi and get my ass annihilated before I voluntarily accepted my place as a high school student for an additional DAY
It would've been really interesting if Bella had had to leave a serious boyfriend in Phoenix. It would've added some complexity to the Edward instalove nightmare
Headcanon that Edward has degrees from like five of the eight ivies and can't get in anymore, but can't tell them he literally holds a degree from the school already, that he's one of them, that he deserves a spot. Isn't that the teen life right now? Trying to prove that you're enough, and you are, and no one is listening?
If I was a vampire I wouldn't be caught in a high school as a pile of dead dead vampy ash? why would you subject yourself to drama, frighteningly authoritarian administration, body odor, testing, etc.
This is a literary thesis, argument, theory (not really), and not confirmed by Meyer whatsoever—>all from me analyzing the written parts of Twilight franchise.
Was a past post, now rewritten because I changed my mind.

Today's AP lit question was about hierarchy lmaooo. Shoulda written it about Twilight. Bella's inherent inferiority drives her to crave Vampirehood, representing her desire for power, safety, and eternal romance, ultimately suggesting that the desire for immortal Vampirehood is as human as the desire for any abundant source of power and security.
When men make fun of Twilight it's such a turn-off. He makes fun of it because he associates it with femininity and society allows him to judge it without seeking to understand it. I make fun of it because it, while being hella entertaining, is also an unhinged mormon stay-at-home-mom's self-insert fantasy. We are not the same.
Does anyone else feel like being born after 2000 means you don't know if Robert Pattinson is actually hot or not because you had only ever heard of him in the context of sex and attractiveness, so you're functionally brain-washed? I remember seeing him shirtless on the cover of cheap magazines at publix and seeing talk show hosts talk about him or to him on the TVs at the dentist. If I didn't personally find him attractive, I wouldn't know. The man practically defined attractive to an entire generation. He is attractive, it's like that's all I know.
"In literary works, cruelty often functions as a crucial motivation or a major social or political factor. Select a novel, play, or epic poem in which acts of cruelty are important to the theme. Then write a well-developed essay analyzing how cruelty functions in the work as a whole and what the cruelty reveals about the perpetrator and/or victim." -AP Literatuee 2015 exam
Edward's cruelty towards Bella when they first meet in biology, when he leaves her in New Moon, and when he refuses to turn her like she wishes is juxtaposed with Bella and Edward's passionate affection for one another, suggesting that supposed acts of cruelty are motivated by merciful love, further enforcing Stephanie Meyer's central theme: that suffering, self control, and unwavering morality are necessary elements of worthwhile romantic connections.
