Yeee I'm not feeling dating apps anymore, like can I put the prowl on a pause. It seems as though dating apps have manipulated me into romanticizing, day dreaming and being a pathetic donkey hoof about nuclear love.

Hear me out.

I'm pretty sure meeting folks in person, from mutual hobbies, and friends not only gives it a better chance of actually working out, but now gives one so much more space to actually involve oneself in ones own living life.

Since my start of dating apps I've noticed how alot of my idle thoughts go to dating apps or any other app for that matter, and I found it weird. That is all. Since the reduction of that I have seen a signifigant improvement in my relationships and wants and needs.

I recently had experienced a relationship with someone who practices monogamy. I am a newly discovering solo poly person. Although I can not say I am disappointed in the ending because I was almost swallowed up WHOLE by patriachy and monogamous views; I would like to vent and share some of the things that I did get to take away.

1. I do not have to change who I am, or what I need in order to keep any relationships, friendships and or partnerships.

2. Being limited or limiting myself to one person, place or thing is not expansion in any form. These are when I am at my lowest and not in full bloom.

3. I dont HATE my exes; I just didnt understand them; alot of my prev. partners insecurites or misconsumptions about me or polyamory has been a clear eye opener; as to my own behaviors and thoughts in the past about these very things. I am able to heal and forgive in more ways than one, and in a way that I can see and feel the affects as well.

That relationship and many in the past did not work out, and honestly it is OKAYYYYYY! Look at all that can be learned, look at the bright side of things. Literally

I do not fault my prev partner(s) at all.I have a strong, mature appreciation for them all.

If I wouldve known dating could be described as collecting data. I wouldve been saved alot of time and "heartbreak" lol.

Think about it. Why go into something all "me and this person" when you dont know jackshit about the other person. I may be a slow learner within this realm but that one small change made a BIG difference...Theres always been a big emphasis on being loyal when dating. The first year for me is strictly collecting data; loyalty is earned not given right out the jump just because shit is SWEET for the time being...

Now when I go on dates with the clear intention of just to collect "data" that I then can mentally go over and see if i like the overall turn out creates a sense of easiness. I dont feel bad if I dont really enjoy the other person and most importantly, I dont feel the obligation.
