Kind of emergency commissions

So my cat managed to catch either an infection, asthma or heart issues. The vet said we'll know in about 6 days earliest while we're treating her for the infection, just in case. I hope it's only this and nothing worse.

In the meantime the first visit plus vet ran up to 150 bucks (can provide proof if asked), so I'm offering some cheap commissions to help pay the next visit (my mom jumped in for this one).

The problem is I don't have a job at the moment and there's no good view to get one soon due to the current situation. So all I can offer is my dumb art?

No matter how many times you fail to meet your own expectations, you have to forgive yourself. Despite contrary belief, dwelling on and badgering yourself over your faults doesn’t ever help you grow into who you want to be.

It’s like gardening: if your flower isn’t blossoming like you want it to, you don’t rip out its leaves as punishment for failing to satisfy you. You recognize the problem and figure out what’s going wrong with its environment so you can modify it, giving the flower a chance to bloom in its own time.

Accept your shortcoming or setback, forgive yourself, and figure out what’s going wrong so that you can plan for how to prevent it from repeating in the future. Thank your past self for trying in the first place and then give your future self the love needed to flourish.

Because a lot of people haven’t heard of it: amatonormativity describes the way society expects everyone to want a relationship and prioritise romance/starting a family and having kids over other things in their life. Aro or not, you have likely come across this sentiment in your life.

Examples of amatonormativity include: parents who think you owe them grandchildren, co-workers and friends asking why you’re single/not believing it’s by choice, the idea that you’ll “change your mind” about having kids when you “find the one”.
