Supernatural season 2 episode 1.

In my time of dying.

So we ended up in the season 1 finale with the car crash.

The Winchesters end up in hospital with Dean in a coma, about to die.

Now this episode may not be the most exciting but it sets up the whole season about Sam with his special powers.

While Dean has a reaper luring his soul to beyond, both Sam and John look for ways to bring back Dean from the edge of death.

Sam communicates with Dean....

John makes a deal with the yellow eyed demon.

As Dean comes out of the coma, totally healed, John whispers a secret that echoes through the season.

My 3rd attempt to weave a fence panel over the weekend. I used cuttings from the eucalyptus and apple tree which needed pruning.

Just need a week to tidy up the garden waste.

As I get older I use different methods to learn. I'm presently working in a warehouse with many colleagues from Eastern Europe.

Here's my picture memory to phonetically say "good morning" in Polish.

Sounds like "jean dobry".

Some of them greet me with "chesz"

And one worker said a general greeting which sounds like "sham argh". (See what I did with the pirate there).

"How are you?" sounds like "yak she mash"

To which you reply " dobzie".

Can't read the language to save my life, but can say "hi."

Sam starts having visions that lead them to Max, a troubled young man who has telekinetic powers.

While investigating a haunted house, Sam and Dean meet paranormal investigators, Harry Spangler and Ed Zeddmore.

20: Dead man's blood

As the first season reaches it's climax, we get the first glimpse of "The Colt" the gun that can kill anything and the family is reunited. Oh, did I mention vampires?

21: Salvation

Sam gets an opportunity to kill the yellow eyed demon. John tries to trade in a fake colt.

22: Devil's Trap

The explosive finale where we meet Bobby Singer, kill demons and the Winchesters fight for their lives.

The season recap at the beginning has the music, "Won't Fall Down" by Steve Fister on the online episode but "Fight The Good Fight" by Triumph on the TV and DVD versions.

No "Carry On My Wayward Son" yet!

Supernatural season 1

I'll describe it as a cross between The X-Files and Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Sleuth work and hunting monsters.

Pilot episode. The opening takes place 23 years in the past. Something enters the Winchester family home, the mother is killed but the father and two boys escape.

Present day, Sam is at college when Dean turns up. Their father is missing, so they follow the case of the Woman in White.

Dean retrieves his dad's journal which has lots of useful information for future episodes.

Oh, and spoiler alert, Sam's girlfriend, Jessica dies the same way as his mother.

Science has the answer.

With all the waste plastic washing into the oceans and ending up in the food chain, I had an idea where scientists manipulate octopus and squid DNA so they have a metabolism to digest plastic and break it down into biodegradable parts.

Then I had a nightmare moment. In movies, when did the scientists get it right? I remembered the Red Dwarf episode "Back to Reality" where an ocean planet was munched through by the despair squid.

Suddenly the crew found they had been playing an A.R. game for two years. The most enjoyable part of this episode was the birth of Duane Dibley.

So scientists..

No... don't do it!

Years ago, I used to make Airfix models. I would make the model and then try to paint it. No one taught me to paint the parts first, then assemble them.

I loved the aeroplanes with spare parts to create different versions of the same plane. I would get the spare parts and create space ships, painting them silver and hang them on my bedroom ceiling.

So when I saw the Hellofresh and Gousto adverts, I wondered "do they have spare ingredients to make extra meals?"

Coddle- from the Latin " caldum" meaning " hot drink". To cook a coddled egg was a delicate process.

Molly- a pet form of Mary from the 17th Century used to denote an effeminate man.

The use of mollycoddle as a word for an effeminate man went out of fashion and is used generally on over protected children and young adults.

Effeminate men are not necessarily gay, trans women or transvestite but have behaviour associated to women.

To mollycoddle someone prevents them from developing the ability to live independently and deal with life's problems when faced with them.

Why did I find it hard to get into Jodie Whitaker as the Doctor? The answer was in the introduction to not only a new regeneration but also three new assistants and three new backstories.

Graham is widowed in episode one, Ryan has an absent father and Yaz, a probation police officer, the smart, courageous assistant whos family are the focus for more than one episode in the season.
