I think lot of people overlook the extent of Wanda’s trauma. She and Pietro grew up in an extremely poor Eastern European country (as someone from the Eastern Europe, I can tell you it is far from great in itself). She lost her parents at age of 10, and for several days she and Pietro were in ruins, just one move from being blown up. They ended up in an orphanage, which again, judging by the standards of those in poor Eastern European countries with military conflicts, had to be traumatising.

Then Hydra started a war in their country, and twins didn’t radicalise, they were standing up for their country, for freedom. Hydra came, presenting themselves as good guys who could help, and twins were one of many volunteers who were fighting for freedom. they were experimented on (which again, traumatising).

Then, Pietro died, and Wanda felt it. She wanted and was gonna die right after, if not for Vision.

Then, while protecting Steve Rogers, she on accident killed innocent people, and the world called her a terrorist, a weapon, among other things (funny since every avenger at some point took a life, innocent or not).

Wanda was placed in Raft, in a straight-jacket and with a collar (which I assume was an electroshock one to subdue her in case she used her powers) and was held there for at least days.

She was hunted. She saw Vision nearly die from Thanos’ henchmen, she was nearly killed as well, many times (both by Ultron and Thanos’ minions).

She had to kill the only close person she had, the love of her life. She then had to watch Thanos resurrect and kill him. She was a victim of The Snap/The Blip. When she came back, she found out Vision was still dead, along with Natasha with whom she bonded previously. From what we know, no one even stayed with her from all of the Avengers, so she was all alone.

And then, after everything, she found out SWORD had Visions’ body. They were experimenting on it, trying to make him into a weapon.

While in the Hex, SWORD also tried to kill her at least twice now. (Murder Squad & Missile).

Not to mention, nearly the entirety of Age of Ultron Wanda was under Ultron’s control (he was giving orders), in Civil War it was Steve Rogers and Clint Barton who gave her orders, and in the Hex it seems like Agnes/Agatha is manipulating her as well, so.

It just makes me angry to see people say she’s crazy, or should “pull her shit together” or villainizing her for creating the Hex/hurting Monica, Darcy or whoever. Like??? Loki did worse, Hela did worse, Bucky did worse, Thor did worse, Gamora did worse, Nebula did worse, yet I don’t see nearly as much hate on them as I see on Wanda. What, someone can’t handle a female, not-american character being one of the most powerful characters in the MCU?

Also,continuing on my little rant,can y’all stop calling a mentally ill woman “crazy” or “insane” or saying “I CAN’T WAIT FOR HER TO SNAP” just because you want to see some cool lasers and action scenes? Like I’m sure most people on this earth have heard stories about their distant relative or friend who’s suffering from mental illness.And how severe that can be for every aspect of their life.Can’t we just cheer for her to get better instead of screaming for her to “snap”?

The woman is struggling with severe anxiety and depression WHILE she’s doing the amazing job of being a mom.Do you think it’s easy? To just take care of two children while you can barely keep going with life? When you feel so tired,like you’re caring the weight of the world on your shoulders? She said herself “endless nothingness”.Come on,people.Can you have the least empathy and recognize her situation? The woman loves those children but she’s also struggling.You know why? Like I totally understand where you’re coming from.Back when I was a kid I didn’t realize that Naruto was so nuanced and that it talked about so many important topics that,watching nowadays,I can finally understand.Naruto was a loner little boy,starving in the streets(sometimes the old third gave him a few bucks) who almost turned out to be just like Gaara.He was constantly being abused but those who he just wanted to have a connection.He didn’t understand where he’s pain was coming from,until he met he’s friends.Then he found family,he understood love.Even romantic love with Hinata(something he never truly understood because he didn’t actually had that while growing up)I guess what I’m trying to say is that I agree with you.Naruto and Sasuke characters where almost completely deconstructed and rectonned in order to further develop a character that the head writer never truly tried to explain to us,readers,who was he(Boruto) besides the occasional daddy issues.But you know what they say...money talks.Now we are left with a story about battling space,reincarnated Demi gods instead of the nuanced story about mental health,psychological and physical abuse and eventually overcoming your “boundaries”(for lack of better word) by finding people,who although are as flawed as you are,truly care about you.Ps:about the Sarada thing:I read here on tumblr something about japonese local culture not considering leg a sexual topic? that’s why they show a lot of Sarada leg.But like Why is a 12 years old girl wearing high heels if she’s supppsed to be a elite ninja? anyway it doesn’t matter how they try to explain it,STOP SEXUALIZING CHILDREN GOD DAMMIT! thanks for answer me and sorry for writing the Bible

Hey,it’s me again(sorry :( ) on a side note,what don’t you like on Boruto? I’ve been watching Naruto since I was a little kid and I was curious what don’t you like.🤗🤗

i’ll dump my answer under the cut because it’ll just be an off-brand stream of consciousness about my loathing for this dumb cash grab anime sequel 😩

so, naruto was also a big part of my childhood, and despite all of its ridiculous escalation and asspulls during the war arc, i still ended the series with a strong attachment to the ogs, my bbys that i’ve followed for well over a decade, naruto and sasuke.

i resent that for boruto to exist as a sequel, they had to drag naruto and sasuke through the dirt in order to generate conflict for this bullshit next gen. they had to turn two orphans who we know are hyperaware and sensitive to the importance of family into bullshit absentee fathers, where naruto can’t spare a drop of chakra for a single shadow clone to take care of hokage work while he spends the weekends with his kids, where sasuke can’t be assed to send his daughter a fucking birthday card over 10 years.

orochimaru is a better, more involved parent than these two are, and that is just hilarious and absurd.

and because they want stakes and more constant escalation to be a thing, they’ve dragged naruto and sasuke’s abilities and competence through the dirt. it wasn’t enough to nerf them. it wasn’t enough to have sasuke who used to be 1) an actually tactical fighter and 2) able to dish out 9 chibaku tenseis after fighting 2 days nonstop suddenly be OuT oF cHaKrA and get repeatedly stomped on by fucking urashiki and isshiki, but now they’ve stripped away kurama and the rinnegan.

because kishimoto had to end the original series that used to be about tricky ninjas in an apocalyptic battle between demigods and a bullshit alien god, naruto and sasuke ended up being by far the strongest two individuals in the history of ninjaland. how do you write a follow-up to that? how do you try to one-up that? you don’t, at least not immediately (at least not in 20 in-universe years), because that invalidates all the bullshit those two went through across 699 chapters of the original story.

but that’s what they’re doing now, because they have to follow this banana haired burrito little shit, because constant escalation is apparently best idea they could come up with so that they could milk this dumb ninja franchise and i hate it here

also the way ikemoto draws sarada and other 12 year old girls is fucking gross
