Here in the Lower Ring, all Iroh can afford is a squalid set of rooms scarcely larger than a wardrobe, with a hastily-patched hole in the wall and torn rice-paper screens. But this apartment will keep Zuko safe, perhaps even become a home for him.

Shelter and security are fortune enough for Iroh, now.

Chapter 8:

Iroh wakes with his head pounding and a certain lightheadedness he knows can only come with a high fever. Still, he attempts to crawl out of his bedroll. There’s so much to do, he reasons, and he cannot leave Zuko to manage by himself. But, to his surprise, Zuko grabs his shoulder and pushes him back down on his pallet.
