Plaintiff: don't you just want to wait it out until settlement?
Me; ... no. Stip please.
Plaintiff: ... so you'll wait it out?

Partner during the review process: this associate does not have an in depth understanding of this practice area. *not satisfactory*
Me: I have never done this kind of case let alone in this jurisdiction will you be providing direction?
Partner: you can learn! Get the initial report done.

Dear ABA, Please make a billing code for those days (Tuesdays) where I recieve notices from the court that make no earthly sense and require me to beg my admin assistant to call and ask what it means how to fix becauseI literally don't have time or bandwidth to call them 4 times and wait on hold for 45 minutes only to be given a weblink with pdf form that are neither applicable nor discoverable through normal channels- and then I need to ask her to save copy and file the 37 single document emails I get from my client the day before they're due. Bare in mind l120 a105 is banned and calls for future me to evaluate my life choices in approximately 3 months.
