I don't go here but I did watch the video and this is such a dumb move.. It seems that they have (or had) a strong and pretty dedicated community, a lot of them would have given that 5.99 a month through something like patreon. We don't need anymore streaming services period. They said the cost of things is too high (100k apparently..) but people aren't watching YouTube videos for television quality, and if they managed in the beginning I think they could manage now since they've established themselves. There are also so many other avenues they can make money off of since they already have an audience like merch, podcasts, live shows, other social media like tiktok and twitch, sponsorships and ads on those two along with instagram and it goes without saying but YouTube as well. That's not even touching the other ventures they could get into with the money they make like investing. And again while I don't think we need more streaming services they could also just do exclusives on there, there's no need to pull out of YouTube completely and abandon things. This comes across as flying too close to the sun and just being greedy

Stardew valley is not "cozy" or relaxing... I've managed to save up 15k and all thats going to get me is a second tool upgrade and the final backpack and then I'm back to square one... little to no wood/stone so no barn yet but if I grind for materials I'm still out for the cow and then I'll need the cheese maker.
