Brasenose confirmed!
Received confirmation from Oxford on Friday that I've been accepted by Brasenose College. Am very excited by this as it's a pretty prestigious college (generally pretty high up the Norrington Table), and it's also one of the most picturesque - founded in 1509 it's got some stunning architecture including the Hall and the Chapel. Not least it's on Radcliffe Square and about 10 metres from the Radcliffe Camera. It is also a reasonably short walk - no more than 10 minutes - from the Said Business School. Now I just need to see whether I can get accommodation on site when I'm at Oxford.

Financial declaration and Brasenose
Today I almost completed the financial declaration - the admissions office, however, pointed out that as I had sent them details of our joint account in Jersey as proof of funds, they require a letter from Sally giving her permission to use those funds for the EMBA!
My college application has now been forwarded to Brasenose. I developed quite a sophisticated spreadsheet evaluating the 18 colleges which accept EMBA students and I’ve just ignored it and gone for a college I’ve always just really liked. It’s located on Radcliffe Square which is probably one of the most quintessentially ‘Oxford’ locations. It’s about a 10 minute walk from the Business School, but I don’t know whether I’d actually be able to stay in college. If I do get into Brasenose then the worst that might happen is that I stay at Jesus which is just around the corner.
Now I just have to wait for the 3 weeks it may take for Brasenose to let me know whether they’ll accept me or not….

Deposit paid!
Well - the deposit has just been paid, so there's no turning back now, without sacrificing quite a lot of money. Very excited about all of this and I don't think the jet lag's going to be quite as bad as I thought it might. We shall see though!
