Cellphone Default Replacement

Anyone in the mood for a new phone? 

This default replaces the maxis cellphone with a more modern smartphone. The phone has two recolorable subsets, and I made 17 options for the screen [swatch] and 14 options for the cover [swatch]. Recolors come in clearly named, separate files so it should be easy to delete the ones you don’t like :)

The smartphone costs 300§ so it’s more expensive than the original cellphone, but hopefully still affordable enough. I also made it buyable from the catalog, where it’s under small electronics and available on community lots as well. Getting one from there won’t satisfy the want for buying a cellphone as it is, but this default should be compatible with these mods by Cyjon. Just make sure that my file loads after those!

Download (SFS) (alternate) - University is required. Only have one default for phones in your game at a time. Everything is compressed and swatches are included.

And in case someone wants to personalize their sim’s phone even further, I uploaded the PSD here! So they can have a pic of their loved one, or their children, or their pet as a background image… or a pic of something. 

Credits to @omgsims2 for the mesh and the lumia textures I used as a base, and @franzillasims for the fonts. Most images are either from Freepik or Rawpixel.

FIREWORKS NEIGHBORHOOD EFFECT

LOST (?) & FOUND

During researching the base game effect list package I found not only sky effects, but also the unused fireworks effect from the SimCity4 (I think it is the same animation that play when you starts the mayor mode). I dreamed of giant fireworks over my TS2 towns since childhood, so when I found it I made the nhood effect right away! Fortunately, it only required to change the name of the effect in the custom file.

It's pretty easy to use. Just find the cutom icon of fireworks in Neighborhood - Decoration mode - Effects and place it somewhere on the map. Multiple fx-cubes can be placed in different locations for a thicker and brighter light show. Please note that the fireworks explode quite high above the map and the result will be best viewed either from free flight mode (tab) or using a custom neighborhood camera. Also, be careful if you have very weak machines.
