Paradisus HQ
For thousands of years, supernatural creatures have been hiding in the shadows, existing—thriving—under human noses with humans being none the wiser. The most powerful of the supernatural community were the vampires. With their near-immortality and strict hierarchical system, the leaders of the vampire communities around the world had amassed grand fortunes and endless political power. All of this for one simple goal: to one day found a home of their own.
That was how the nation of Paradisus was born.
With massive control over the world economy, in April 2021 the vampires announced their existence to the world. They purchased an entire island on the Pacific Ocean and declared it their own. This was to be a haven for not only the vampire species but every individual who sought refuge from the human world. Supernatural creatures flocked to this island built for them and humans relish in the opportunities this new kingdom provides. But not everybody is comfortable with the island’s existence, and it’s only a matter of time before the peace is tested.

A MESSAGE FROM THE COUNCIL:
After a month of restorations and advancements to its infrastructure, we our happy to announce that the docks have been completely restored and are fully operational. With shipments having begun coming in since the beginning of the week, we are even happier to say that all restrictions have been lifted and there will be no more blood or food rationing. The Liu Labs have been fully repaired as well and weekly vampire transitions have since continued.
As we’ve said many times before, we are proud of our citizens for putting in the labor to repair our island, as well as their patience as we all work through everything that happened together.
Along with the repairs comes new security measures as well. All entry points on and off the island will have around the clock patrol. The witch regent has fortified the entry points with protective spells and sigils while the merfolk queen has patrols underwater. Any shifters with the ability to fly are welcome to volunteer to patrol our skies as well.
This is our home, all of us. And we will all work together to see it not only survive, but thrive.

Charlie was nine when witch hunters attacked the coven, killing everyone, including their parents. Charlie and her brother escaped and went on the run, homeless and officially orphans. Her brother became her protector, raising her and keeping them both safe over the years while they tried their best to get by–without a family or a coven or a home. When Charlie was 21, they decided to move to the US and there her brother fell in love and wanted to get married. Charlie, not wanting to be in the way, finally decided to go her own way and came to Paradisus. It’s UTP why her brother is now on the island and what happened with his fiancé . I'd love to plot more!

The Khatri family lived a very peaceful life with their coven in a quaint little village in England. The siblings are all very close but his personality and everything is completely UTP! Meena specializes in white healing magic while Ellora specializes in green nature magic, but whatever he’d want to do is UTP as well. We’d love to plot together!

A MESSAGE FROM THE COUNCIL:
The Council and His Majesty want to extend their gratitude to the people of Paradisus for their continued hard work and dedication to restoring the island after the attacks earlier this month. The docks should be fully operational in the coming days. Until that time we do ask for everyone’s continued patience with rationing.
We have had reports of disturbances with some our vampires attacking humans and we on the Council want to assure our citizens that swift action will be taken. We will not tolerate violence or any further attacks on the people who call this place home and those who cannot control themselves have been and will continue to be removed from the island and barred from ever returning.
On a final, and more positive, note, the Council and King Octavian do want to take this time to officially announce the arrival of our newest residents: The Merfolk of the Pacific Kingdom. They like so many of us have spent centuries in hiding, their existences reduced to mere myths. But they are real and they are now among us, led by their Queen, Priya Desai.
Queen Priya will join our Council on behalf of her people and it is expected that everyone treat her with the same respect that they do the rest of us. The merfolk will also have their own sanctioned territory on the southern end of the island, now dubbed The Coves. The Coves will be their land to do with as the merfolk see fit and is to be respected as theirs. Any unwanted intrusions will also be dealt with.
We again are thankful for the strength you’ve all shown and will continue to work together to have Paradisus thrive.
