I made the chart as I reread the comic. So information was added as character relationships developed or were revealed. This video shows that development.

Another thing I love about Spender is the revelation that his sunglasses aren't actually sunglasses, but normal glasses (with unfit prescription) he put shadows over. (And also sad because those glasses are from Ed's dad).

Spender having constant low-level shadow magic on his face 24/7 is pretty consistent with the fact all the sparkles and light effects we see around him are canonically also magic. He's got cosmetic magic going all the time and maybe that's why he's so tired

Yeah, I don't remenber in which page, but it was confirmed his teaching degree is "completely fraudulent".

Kinda makes you wonder about the other teachers at Mayview, huh?

Favorite thing about Richard "Strongest spectral" Spender is the fact that he doesn't have a teaching degree at all and all his money comes from a giant golden statue of his father he stole that he has been taking apart for mora that a decade. You thought all those nonsensical videogame analogies and "funsheets" are his bad attempts at being hip and cool but nope, he just has no idea how to actually teach a class. I love this disaster of a man.

Is Spender not having a real teaching degree confirmed? I don't remember that coming up. I totally believe it though, it explains everything about his style
