Yo, I'm Peyton! I draw comics, animate, and am very passionate about sea slugs and badminton. This blog is mostly my art and my ramblings about my current projects.
In a world where sea slugs evolved to live on one of Jupiter's moons, one sea bunny's mistake causes the time travel adventure of a lifetime...! A 460 page comic, a plush, and more!?
so like, i may have a elder scrolls au ive slowly been cooking up with also a side of other aus too but, yeaahh Jo's a cat, Mollys an orc and Leaf is a wood elf :]
...Actually on the note of that criticism post, DOES anyone have any actual critiques of Molly's Future Mishaps? I know it definitely isn't perfect (the first several chapters are rough around the edges, and the speech bubble text gets HUGE for a couple chapters) but I'm actually curious if anyone has anything to say regarding the story/my writing style/the art/etc. I want to know what I can improve on for future chapters (and whenever I get the chance to remake it into animation a long time from now lol)
Just some Kickstarter ruminating. I've got it decided that I'm gonna release the MFM physical volumes every spring through Kickstarter, which should work out for volumes 2 and 3 (as of now, all of volume 2 is complete already, but volume 3 won't be ready to print until I get to chapter 54, which will be about a year to a year and a half maybe), not sure if I'll have volume 4 ready on schedule or not since it's so far in the future but we'll just have to see... that's pretty far away lol.
Going to see how long it will take to manufacture and produce all of the goods for this current volume, but it SHOULD all be ready by this fall/winter if all goes well. I've been having thoughts about trying to launch another smaller-scale physical comic on KS later in this year as well, once all of the MFM stuff is sent off to backers... but that's still up in the air. I think it definitely would be beneficial for me to have multiple stories under my belt (and to do something with the comic ideas I've been sitting on for ages...)
But still, I'm excited to work on volume 2's trailer far in the future... I've been waiting for the excuse to animate things relating to the time loop part for ages LOL. Speaking of which, I don't think the current MFM campaign will reach the stretch goals of something animated, but that's alright. I actually still want to attempt to make a solid script and animatic of an animated adaptation in my free time later on (as that will make for another incentive for my Ko-fi page haha) and maybe save up funds to get it voiced. Maybe one day in the future once I'm experienced in Kickstarter management, I can try to launch a big campaign to get the proper funds to animate it, but that's still too far in the future to properly plan for (same for Parvey... a friend ran the numbers and we'll need about $40k, and that's a HUGE number to ask for. But... one day!)
Molly and Jo- two sea slugs trying to find their way out of the end of time itself! Not quite fond of each other at first, but they soon learn that they need each other more than they thought...!
