Oh Mykiss Although summer is in full swing those with the bug have a difficult time letting go of the tug from wild steelhead and while they are around in the summer it is the bigger winter fish that most dream about as hot summer days drone on.  Soon people, very soon we will be back after them! photo Dave McCoy

It’s Time Across the U.S. those fly anglers who have been holding their breath since last summer begin to take big sighs of relief as the signature hatch of summer’s arrival begins.  Salmonfly Fever is upon us and our recommendation is to find yourself in the middle of it.  Might have missed it in some places but have time yet in others so get out there and fish! photo Dave McCoy

Power of the River The official trailer for this movie just landed as it moves in its full length version to the film festival circuit.  World Premier is this coming weekend at DocuWest in Denver.  Come watch Ambassador Dave McCoy and a group of other anglers tackle the challenges thrown at them as they attempt to fish this river while telling a story of why it shouldn’t be ruined by a dam.

Spring Cometh! Few sights more admirable than a foggy morning over Puget Sound in Washington state.  Snow on the Olympics rising above steelhead country and clouds rolling off the hills to meet the salt water.  Take it all in when you can. photo Dave McCoy

Cuba NOW! Several of our Ambassador team have recently returned from Cuba and all they can say is go now!  The habitat and the fishing are still pristine and the culture of the country remains that of one shielded from much of the possible influence of the U.S.  People are super friendly, food is outstanding and immersing yourself in their culture is highly recommended. photo Dave McCoy

Winter Chrome Come one come all, the wild steelhead season is in full swing on the Olympic Peninsula in Washington.  Some new rules however for this season which include zero kill on wild steelhead and 1 stretch of the Hoh River with no fishing from a floating device.  Lot’s of snow and rain already so fish should be happy to play, but please play responsibly by keeping fish in the water for images and release them quickly. photo Emerald Water Anglers

Fishing Among Pro’s Sitting on a bank, scouring the water for signs of life our gaze was drawn to a tree with a hint as to why the fishing might have been a bit slow.  That’s OK, was awesome to watch as bald eagles young and old came and went from this tree.  Happy New Year everyone! Finding Fontinalis An old gaucho's tale inspired the search for a new world-record brook trout; but the water, landscape and the culture surrounding it became the impetus to conserve and protect it all. This F3T cut of Finding Fontinalis, a new feature film from Travis Lowe (coming fall 2016) takes you to the heart of Patagonia and one of the last remaining, world class brook trout fisheries. Featuring Bart Bonime, Bryan Gregson, Agustin Fox and Yvon Chouinard, Finding Fontinalis exposes you to both jaw-dropping landscapes and hook-jawed trout. original content Travis Lowe
