What's interesting about Jen's relationship with Matt is that there are shades of Jen's conflict with Bruce buried in it, but the way Matt approaches Jen is fundamentally different from Bruce in a way that makes her much more receptive to his suggestions.

Bruce was domineering. He didn't ask, he told. You can't go back to being a lawyer, you are a superhero now, this is your life, DEAL WITH IT. I will physically restrain you until you agree to be a superhero.

Matt doesn't order. He offers. He suggests. And he doesn't try to override Jen's life choices in the process. You're a lawyer but you have an opportunity to be a superhero too. That might be kinda cool. But it's up to you.

He puts the idea in her head but in the end, he leaves Jen with personal agency over whether or not to follow through with it. He never tries to take her power away from her the way Bruce did, and that leaves her much more open to the idea he's putting forward.

And then they sleep together. Because there is nothing more attractive than clearly marked exits.
