actually, let’s hop back onto the angst train for a second: not only was roman sacrificing the callback ultimately considered a loss all around, but he was also inadvertently told that he was actually wrong in his decision itself for doing the ‘right thing’ with the expectation of some kind of reward/karma. he put his wants aside to act altruistically and even the pride he could’ve had in that action was tarnished all because he still hoped for some kind of positive emotional affirmation that proved he made the right choice.
so honestly? no wonder he got so irrational by the end of svsr. every step of the way he’s been told that he’s doing something wrong; to siding with janus in wanting to go for the big opportunity, to having made the choice with less than pure intentions, to making the wrong choice, to fighting against janus and echoing the same things about being a good person they’ve been prioritizing up until then.
after all of that roman deserves to go a little feral. as a treat.
Let’s take a moment to appreciate the fact that Thomas was totally about to punch pixel-Logan. Look at that fist. Look at it. He’s definitely got some fighting moves.
