Hey PMC! Class registration for Fall 2021 is coming up soon! Here are the new changes to the Entertainment Art/Animation courses, the Computer and Game Art (CAGA) program, and course repeatability to look out for 👀

•Entertainment Art/Animation Program Changes

- Art 487E Special Studies in Ent Art/Anim will become a reel/portfolio building class w/o a specific topic -Has been offered as a Topics course covering Character Animation, Storyboarding, Character Design, Lighting and Compositing, 3D Topics, Group Projects -Each topic will now be given its own course number -New courses still count as Special Studies classes, Ent Art/Anim electives, and Gen Studio electives -Students in the older degree program will need an exception to place them correctly on the TDA (most current students)
-Transition is ongoing. Approximate completion date: Spring 2022

•Art 487E Course Number Changes

-Art 354 Int Character Animation – replacing Art 487E Character Animation -Art 487G Storyboarding for Animation - replacing Art 487E Storyboarding -Art 487H Character Design for Animation - replacing Art 487E Character Design (look for 487H to be offered for the 1st time in Spring 2022 or Fall 2022) -Art 487 E Spec Studies Ent Art/Animation will still be offered, but as a portfolio/reel building class without a specific focus

•CAGA program

-All 3D classes will have Art 455 as their prefix -3D classes are no longer a part of the Ent Art/Animation program
