Hi hi! Dunno if this has been asked before yet or answered yet.. but your local lil bandit here is quite curious about a question!

What kinda stuffed animals does Stalker AU Dream have?? Where does he get a seemingly endless supply of them from? Is it smth like shops to buy them at, gifts from people, or carnival prizes?

They’re gifts from friends/family or treats he buys for himself (or his brother). He’ll buy them everywhere! He especially likes the soft squishy ones. I think, as a skeleton, whenever he’s anxious/overwhelmed he’ll get a nice round weighted plushie, and stuff it into his rib cage and lie down for a while in a giant pile of plushies. I think he’d rlly like squishamals too!

The issue got out of hand when Cross stepped into the picture. He loves giving Dream tons of gifts (and his gifts are much more elegant and soft than Killer’s gifts for Night 😂), Dream doesn’t know what to do with them all, but he’s too nervous to give them away or reject them so the plushie mountain grew 🥰

I feel like you are a proshipping-misconception -busting mommy, and i feel like i can waddle up to the sku nest and ask this, so in regards to commships (hopefully i’m using that correctly) i know you’ve depicted incest relationships, but how do you feel about like, adult x minor content?

For me personally, it’s def triggering and def not something i personally can get behind, but i understand that that’s just for me to personally not interact with!

however i’ve been curious because when i see people discuss proshippers, they seem to always assume that someone who likes brother kissers ALSO likes sexual/ romantic relations between adults and children as ships. from what i’ve observed this isn’t the case and it seems like a weird assumption to make? maybe i’m wrong lol

I hesitate to answer this because the topic of underage shipping seems to be the ‘no discussion allowed’ topic for people, even proshippers. You used the terminology perfectly! I’m not personally comfortable with the term Comshipping (meaning you actually ship dark content) versus Proshipping (meaning you’re against harassment over fiction and curate your fiction), I personally feel it divides the community even further so people can be more easily targeted. But I understand that some don’t wanna use proship due to the amount of backlash, so by definition I’m Comship and Proship! :D

The thing that makes me uncomfortable about underage isn’t the kink itself, but comparing living breathing children and real horrifying acts to colors and lines on a screen. To reduce something so terrible down to a make believe doll and to compare the two acts as if they’re one and the same isn’t healthy.

It doesn’t matter if you have trauma related to this act or not, if you keep comparing characters to real life children it’s not healthy and ultimately downplays real horrible crimes. It waters down the term for abusers to use and chuck at minorities. (Especially trans people. Btw always make sure a post doesn’t align with terf and radfem ideologies, because those are the types to use your emotions and feelings against you. They’ll convince you that this thing that makes you uncomfortable needs to be destroyed. You won’t realize what’s even happening, and that’s scary.) Characters are objects, they just are, and they can be used to convey topics both bad and good. But in the end they’ll always just be objects no matter how much a person likes them or identifies with them.

To quote Neil Gaiman in concerns to censorship, “If you don’t stand up for the stuff you don’t like, when they come for the stuff you do like you’ve already lost.”

Now for even more personal stuff, ye I ship that stuff too in certain circumstances. Do I have the trauma that gives me a shiny badge of honor that allows me to ship that? That’s for me to know alone 😂

I don’t want people to feel like they have to define themselves by their trauma when it comes to fictional kinks and interests. I am not defined by my trauma or my taste in fiction. I don’t have to share my trauma with strangers to be ‘allowed’ to do things. The only response that ever gets is, “well do it in private, get therapy, I’m going to teach you to be better because I care 🥺🔪, etc etc etc”. Fiction is a safe medium for me to explore trauma, what kind of trauma that is, is no one’s business.

I’m glad I could make you feel better. I’m so happy I can help people feel less alone. :’) No matter what, how dark or how fluffy, I’m here for you guys, just like you guys are here for me. This isn’t to say that we actually know each other, I don’t wanna foster a parasocial environment, but it’s nice to have a community where we can feel connected and safe 💚

I just read some older Leviathantale/Mermay stories on ao3 and can't help but wonder. Is it canon that Cross had gained a scar by saving Killer from a harpoon like GeminiGuardian98 claim in here? There's nothin about it in your Smorgasbord

This is a spoiler for sure XD Cross gained his first ocean scar by protecting Killer from a harpoon :') Canonically, Cross and Killer have matching harpoon scars on their sides. Killer thinks it's very romantic, and for once, Cross agrees with him.

Some creators also have the hc that the shock collar, Cross wore in captivity, burned out his electric receptors all sharks have and that that's the reason why he struggles in darkness and can't pick up signals every other shark can. What's your view on this?

Before answering things on what's Canon or not Canon to Leviathantale, or any of my aus, I want to say a disclaimer: Just because I consider something to be Canon or Fanon, doesn't mean people can't still play around with those headcanons. Canon isn't law. You don't have to follow everything I say to a T, and do to so makes me uncomfortable XD I'd rather people have fun with my stuff, no matter how fluffy or dark! :D

The shock collar burnt out some of his electric receptors, especially in his nose area. The nose is especially sensitive and important for shark mer communication, pack members and mates bond via nose nuzzles and head bonks. That isn't to say he can't feel them at all, but that he needs to be nuzzled a bit harder and rougher than the others to feel it. Here's some old art of kross nose nuzzles:

None of the current cast know anything about Killer’s past, they don’t even know his name. Once Nightmare called him Killer, that became his new name, his new identity. I refuse to talk about any of Killer’s old names because it feels like deadnaming him.

But if Killer were to tell Cross about his past love (Color was Special but he wouldn’t want Nightmare to feel less Special and loved if Killer told him), and Cross had the gall to mention him during a fight? Killer would stab him.

Then they would devolve into a bloody bitey mess. Cross would beat the crap out of him back. Blood would be everywhere, and they’d probably just end up doing other steamy things while covered in blood at the end.
