Long time no post...My big cosplay project of 2020 is Kassandra from Assassin's Creed Odyssey, and while I whittle away at the construction, this weekend we used her contemporary suited look as a chance to cos-test Kass's hair and makeup. Could she be more of a gay lady icon?

I had the best day last Sunday at Comic Con Africa, cosplaying Anne Lister as she appears in Gentleman Jack. Given the show's niche appeal, I just wanted one person to recognise me, and I accomplished that objective before I even passed through the con entrance. Thank you, geeky baby gays and OWLs!

Meanwhile, only when I got home did I realise that I was cosplaying Anne on the 179th anniversary of her death: 22 September 1840. Coincidence.

Strange but true: historical F/F romance Gentleman Jack presents the finest ever on-screen depiction of a Slytherin-Hufflepuff relationship, and its curious dynamic. This crossover fic was born of that realisation, transplanting Anne Lister, Ann Walker and other figures from Anne Lister's secret diaries to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardy in the early 1830s, and reimagining them as teenagers. I’m not sure how far I’m going to take the fic, but I was compelled to write this chapter at least. I guess I’ll keep at it as inspiration strikes and ideas come to me in more fleshed-out form.
