Here’s a bit of a different one. A Scooby Doo and the Reluctant Werewolf AU in which it’s Fred who gets turned into the werewolf, and instead of Shaggy, with Scooby, Googie and Scrappy helping, it’s Fred, with Daphne, Velma, Shaggy and Scooby along for the ride so to speak.

1) Shaggy sees the Hunch Bunch along with Scooby and tried to tell the Gang. No one believes him.

2) The brothers lure Fred out of the Mystery Machine by knocking on the door, then grabbing something (Ascot? Wallet?) and running.3) Since the Mystery Machine isn’t a convertible, they can’t use Moondust on the gang to put them to sleep. They still capture the whole vehicle, but everyone’s awake the whole time.

4) Velma still tries to Heist the book ala the Velma edition. 

5) Fred chooses Shaggy to be his co-pilot because he has the best survival instincts.

Last night I dreamed that someone invented a new version of chess called Rookmeo and Juliet where two rooks are in love and trying to run away together. To achieve this they have to make it to the other side of the board, but these rooks don't have any visible signs to differenciate them from the rest, just a small mark in their base. Neither of the players knows what rook from the other side is in love with their rook, so they have to play a regular game of chess, fully aware that they might unknowingly kill the lover of their rook. If they kill it, the game keeps going, but their rook betrays them, switches sides and turns into a second queen for the other player. People wrote a ton of essays about the symbolism and metaphors of that version of chess and the creator didn't have the heart to tell them that he simply invented it because he thought Rookmeo was a great pun

Straight up OVA or fic idea: Shinichi wakes up seemingly in his old body, and is overjoyed. But things aren't right, and not in the same way as "he simply never found a full cure and grew up as Conan."

He goes around, and no one treats him as if he's ever been away. There's no sign of the Detective Boys. No one else has ever been living in the Kudo house, either.

No one brings up Edogawa Conan.

At first he thinks it's because they don't connect them, or something. But that doesn't make sense.

Murders left unsolved. Ran still waiting for him to have the guts to admit his feelings. Superficial relationships, because he'd still been so caught up in his own head that he'd not taken others seriously.

Some people, he still knows - Hattori's number is still in his phone, but when he calls the other detective, he's far more belligerent than Shinichi expected... because Shinichi had been the one to be just as invested in their "rivalry."

Others are nowhere to be seen. He asks around for if anyone's heard of some called Haibara Ai, or a girl of that description, but no one does. Nothing comes back.

There's something on the news about Kaitou Kid being wanted for several murders - and Shinichi knows that if Kid's wanted, then the real killers went free. He wonders what the thief is doing now, and if the next trap he gets himself into will be the one that gets him dead.

This... he realises that he's seeing what would have been if Conan had never existed - if he'd never been turned into a kid for his hubris.

As much as he's always hated that kid, he made Shinichi grow up, made him form relationships that meant something, allowed him to help under the radar.

If this was an OVA, I'd say that's where he wakes up. If it's a fic? He'd then have to figure out what to do next, who to trust with what's happening to him, and who'd believe him.

You know I think you have a thing for giving halfa's unresolved issues about their death between your halfa!Shinichi and Hero's spirit Izuku...

not that AaP!Shinichi doesn't have his issues with being forced to become OTHER. It's just really overshadowed by his crippling fear of being exposed, and being alone to the point he literally almost looses himself in his Conan persona multiple times once he gets access to it. Autophobia is not pleasant

It is an obvious and fascinating place for the mind to go. Though I hadn't shown it, Izuku actually fairs far better than Shinichi in that regard.

Hosu was a breaking point for him in terms of realizing he still has a lot on unprocessed feelings about his death and that it would be normal to have those kinds of feelings after a traumatic incident. Iida and Todoroki both push him into not just trying to suppress things or feeling like he 'should be able to handle it' and All Might's apology and assuring him that if he'd known the full extent of what happened he absolutely would have gotten the boy counseling leads to Izuku scheduling some time with Hound Dog and coming to terms with his 'death'. (His issues with being compared to Danny are a separate matter)

Shinichi is...never really okay with being a yūrei hanyou. He accepts it. He even permanently ties being a full ghost to his Shinichi identity. But he's never comfortable with it. Whereas Izuku was mostly dealing the the trauma of being murdered, Shinichi is dealing with a deep seated belief that something like him shouldn't exist.

And yeah, isolation did a number on AaP!Shinichi to the degree that being undead is really rather low on his list of worries, which really says something!

Considering you write about Assassination Classroom, there's a question I have that I'm curious about.

If Nagisa's dad had an affair and the affair led to a daughter and the daughter had to live with them, do you think Hiromi would choose to have her stepdaughter as second playthrough or would she continue making Nagisa appear feminine?

I would say she'd continue on focusing on Nagisa because her second playthrough would have to be a continuation of her, and a stepdaughter wouldn't be that (I am also very skeptical if Hitomi would take the stepdaughter in, even if Nagisa's dad for whatever reason couldn't. Hitomi is extremely self-serving and the girl serves no purpose to her).

Now if Nagisa had a younger sister by Hitomi rather than his dad, that would be a different story. I think she would focus in on the daughter and lose all interest in her son whatsoever.

Technically they didn't kill him directly. Danny sacrificed himself to stop a GiW plan to destroy the Infinite Realms that would have had the side effect of also destroying the Living World too. (Which is why it was covered up. 'Oops we accidently almost ended all life on Earth and tried to destroy the afterlife' wasn't something the government wanted to admit to)

But Nightshade said they killed him. And young All for One was not going to argue with her.
