#1 Alistair stanStan Phil Dwyer for clear skin. It’s the twilight renaissance baby and I’m ready to be full of shame and memes. This is a side blog, I follow/like from kintsugi-keys. Posts I’ve made are tagged as “Phil” (since tumblr took away the ‘mine’ tag) unless I forgot to tag it
This picture has been circulating all over social media and I have more to add:
Delete all period cycle tracking apps off your phone today.
Do not tell anyone why you want to take your trip, especially over text/apps.
Do not tell anyone the real state/destination of your trip.
Have everyone on your trip turn off their phones. Use written directions or a burner phone. Do not use burner phone to open any personal apps. Dispose of after trip.
Only use cash while purchasing ANYTHING on your trip.
Take “vacation” photos to post later. Be cautious of geo-tags/only post screenshots of the original photos.
Some people might say this is being extra or overly precautious, but this really is the reality we are facing. People have been imprisoned with murder charges in certain states- some for literal miscarriages. If you are a person that ends up in this situation, the state can and will use your data against you as evidence in court. Do not leave a paper trail. If they want to treat us like criminals, we’re gonna move like criminals.
I really think it’s important to keep fat people in mind when talking about reproductive health care. So many birth control options are not as effective on fat people and none of these options are researched enough, either.
Fat people get worse health care in general and are taken less seriously and many surgeons refuse to work with fat people or offer suboptimal care, which puts them at risk when it comes to surgical abortion.
Not even getting into how being fat is tied to conditions that involve having irregular periods, which means noticing a pregnancy later and having reduced, more expensive options for abortion. Just have less empathetic, less considerate health care workers waiting on the other side.
Fat people should not be left out of reproductive health care concerns. This isn’t even getting into how fat people are left out the flip side of reproductive care (ie getting help getting pregnant and being coached about fertility, being discouraged from getting pregnant at all or trying out options like IVF).
Especially when so much fatphobia is based in classism, ableism, and racism and plays into mortality rates. Like these are vital discussions to be had and they are all connected.
My guys. the fact that so many of you are reblogging my post about Justice Thomas's desire to overturn Lawrence with exclamations of "how???" and with such lack of knowledge of our past is really disconcerting.
Gay sex was illegal federally in the United States until 2003 (when Lawrence was ruled on). Before Lawrence many MANY states had "Sodomy Laws" that prohibited gay sex within the state itself and criminalized homosexuality, often using targeting words like "pervert" to describe gay men much the way conservatives talk of "grooming" today. In fact prior to 1962 homosexual sex, as well as certain types of consensual sex acts between differently gendered couples, was a felony with the cost being lengthy jail time and/or hard labor. As of April 2022 14 states have STILL not repealed their sodomy laws. Keep that in mind.
In this last week of Pride month i am BEGGING you. LEARN SOME LGBTQ+ History. The history of your rights, your lack of rights, how recent it all is, how unstable your rights are RIGHT NOW. So many of what should now be our elders were killed during the AIDS Crisis. It is now up to you to learn these things yourself.

honestly don’t get people who say “this is all because you didn’t vote in 2016″ cause like. people did vote. trump did lose the popular vote. that’s a p significant thing that happened, like people did go out to vote. it’s just that as it turns out, in this country, voting does jack shit
not to mention, obama did say in 2009 that he would codify roe v wade, and he was president for 8 full years. biden said that he would codify roe v wade, and he’s the president right now. and of course, roe v wade never got codified in all this time. so maybe this isn’t the fault of people not voting, and the fault of politicians who fundamentally do not give a shit about us, and simply use our rights as bargaining chips to get into power
