I traveled to Mexico in the early 80's to do portraits for the people. I used large formate 8x10 and 4x5 film so I could contact print on printing out paper. I would tone them in selenium which was much cheaper than gold chloride. The next day I would give it to the person I photographed.

In the early 80's for three months out of the year I would close Focal Point Gallery pack up my family and travel in a pickup truck and camper converted into a darkroom and travel to rural Mexico to do portraits for the people. I used large formate 8x10 and 4x5 film so I could contact print on printing out paper. I would tone them in selenium which was much cheaper than gold chloride. This is one of them.
