I had an experience of being the kid reacting to a punk Mohawk.

when I was 4 years old, my family went on a roadtrip and at a gas station I saw something that shattered my little animal loving world view.

I saw someone with a Mohawk for the first time-it was a HUGE colourful Mohawk sticking straight up, mocking gravity- And I just stared, eyes bugged out, mouth agape, gawking through the car window at a poor unaware man. Finally my mom asked me what was wrong And I answered in a hushed voice I said:

“mom.............it’s a horseman.”

4 year old me thought the Mohawk was a mane and I was in deep shock. I legit thought this guy was part horse.

the best thing about being goth is that you can actually convince small kids you're a vampire. and they love it.
