Second of all, I have NO IDEA who would be who, because this story, being about not judging people for the crime of being different could fit almost ANYONE in the cast. Nimona and Ballister could fit anyone really so I guess it depends on who you want that hilariously adorable dynamic with

Like, I could see it being Sonny and Benny or Usnavi and Pete, or even Vanessa and Nina if one was very unhinged XD

No but really, romantic OR platonic, Yuu&Azul is so freaking special to me. Their buildup and arc in Book 3 is so soft and you can really tell that Yuu’s actions really touched Azul in events and future Books.

Yuu is probably his first legit friend after the Tweels and he’s both taking it in stride but also caught off guard at their kindness (making him put the childhood photo back instead of using it as blackmail after everything he did was probably the biggest ‘….Wait what?’ moment for him. ‘What do you mean you’re not going to blackmail me, it’s what I would’ve done!’ We know you’ve been through enough, Zuzu, we’re not heartless, and we know you aren’t either)

with this settle, I wanted to talk about ars goetia because it's the one that define the situation yuu is in.

So yuu as a beast tamer he in particular doesn't have any power the thing with him is that he analyze the situation and give advice to have the best result in a fight, we have seen this happen in the prologue with grim, ace and deuce so imagine now a huge dark being following yuu around and yuu being total okay with this.

I like the idea of how yuu found out of Solomon in the first night in ramshackle, it was during the fight with the ghost and he out of nothing say the word and Solomon appeared yuu being like “0_0 wow...you sure are big…and sneaky” while grim and the ghost being like "AHHHHH WT-...”.

Also, I imagine that Solomon wouldn't like them that much at the beginning but after some time they would take a liking on yuu and grim... but that wouldn't stop them to scare grim.

LMAO Ramshackle just had a Blot Phantom hiding there this whole time?? ....Yeah, yeah, that tracks.

But honestly, Yuu walking around and having a big scary blot phantom buddy/bodyguard? ...I seriously love that. Lord knows CANON YUU needs one with how helpless they can be in the main story and Grim always screwing them over. ...Playful Land would've been a fucking massacre the second Yuu dropped to the puppet magic, dear fucking lord... 8/

Also bonus points for Grim and Solomon having SO MUCH BEEF. Like for Grim it's 100% jealousy cause he can tell that Solomon is CLEARLY stronger and way more reliable in a fight than he is most of the time, and on Solomon's end, he notices that Grim is the one making trouble, not Yuu, so he reacts accordingly by scaring him to try and get him to stop. And I think we could add more to this if it we learn more about Grim and his relation to blot cause we ALL KNOW something's there.

I love your Twisted Wonderland AUs and I was wondering...

Can you make one of Magical Girl! Yuu with a Magical Madoka system?

I think her wish gave her something similar to Homura's power of having a pocket dimension and she had a few seeds of suffering with her (two to four would be fine, right?) and that since she arrived she has had to recycle them by reviving one. and again to the witches to be able to use them correctly.

And I can already imagine the problems he will have if Kyuubei comes with him, it would be a real struggle to stop his friends from selling their souls while learning the truth of their world, I can already taste the drama and angst!

So what I'm getting here...is Yuu basically being like Homura at least in the sense that they KNOW Kyubei is full of shit...and has to go around stopping the most EGOTISTICAL TEENAGERS ON THE PLANET from throwing their souls away for superpowers.

Yep, Yuu would Overblot or go full witch from that stress ALONE. I mean JESUS, Grim would try to wish for all the tuna he could eat every other day just to wish to become a great mage and get Kyubei slaughtered by Yuu EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. (also wow, now that you bring it up, Madoka Magica Witches are legit Overblots but with absolutely NO WAY to save the victim, that's fucking SAD-)

But on another note...you know how Witch Seeds clean the Soul Gems? What if they could ALSO clean magestones? That could open a whole new door of world-building if these worlds collide.

And honestly, there are SO MANY WAYS things could go wrong if one of the TWST Boys makes a contract. The fact that EVERYONE has trauma or baggage of some kind means the whole descent into Witch territory can be different for EVERYBODY, especially with the factor that their wish is inevitably turned against them in some way.

A thought that I def hope it doesn’t become real for the Playful Land dolls.

Humans don’t use all their strength in their day to day basis, even in fights. Only when it’s a life or death scenario, a human can use a 100% of their muscle strength.

The reason is because using it could damage the body. Tear the muscle itself for example.

Imagine the people turned into dolls use the 100% force of a human, and because they have no muscle that could tear because of the sheer force, there is no stopping them.

Now imagine beastfolks amongst those dolls, people that have animals qualities to them to boost this.

So you mean that the fully turned puppet people can just go hog-wild because they no longer have muscles or even a nervous system to feel pain...damn 8/

Plus, it's confirmed that the puppet guards break apart EASILY. I don't know if they can get back up or put themselves back together again after that, but having a bunch of glass or rather wooden cannons that can just throw themselves at enemies without a care in the world...that's fucking sad. Hell, we don't even know if these puppet people remember their human lives! Do you just slowly forget about it because your body is no longer your own to control or do you just....give up because there's no point to having conscious thought anymore?

Okay. Now that we know what the fuck is ACTUALLY going on in Playful land. Wanna make bets of HOW the story will make us sympathize with Fellow and Guidel?

“Money struggle” isn’t valid, it’s already clear they do.

Also, Yuu should def say “you know what, I was going to actually hear your woes and what not, tell you there is a better way. BUT THIS?! I HOPE YOU GET MADE INTO A SCARF FOR A RICH OLD LADY!”

Honestly, the ONLY way they could even have anything CLOSE to redemption at this point, is if Fellow gets arrested for his crimes, but vouches for Giddel by saying he has nothing to do with the whole Playful Land stuff so he's allowed to go free (which could lead to Giddel getting an SSR if they do what they did with Rollo later on)

Giddel is the only one who's lowkey sympathetic right now; he WANTS to go to school but since he has no magic he can't go to magic school and Fellow keeps him from dreaming or hoping to go to regular school at all because he doesn't want him to be disappointed by reality (maybe due to him being mute or facing discrimination?). Fellow...if you care about Giddel that much, then LET HIM THRIVE! He deserves BETTER than this, and YOU KNOW IT.

...And yes, petition for Yuu to finally just fucking lose it and roar at a bitch. They did it in the prologue, they can do it again!! (Honestly, Canon Yuu deserves way better than the bullshit they're getting in Playful Land; getting caught in the FIRST GROUP?? The DISRESPECT. At least in GloMas they got to run around the city and help weed the flowers while the other boys took care of Rollo >:T)

Digging this back out cause I saw a video on this symphony and you know how I jokingly asked if Berlioz was going through some dark shit when he wrote this...well....he actually was...like, finance abandoned him while he was away and he was driven to almost revenge-murder her and suicide dark shit...so...that explains quite a bit 8/

I took a little bit research for this Fantastique Thing and did my best to summarize it:

A young musician meets a woman and falls head over heels in love with her and whenever he thinks of her, a melody plays in his head. And the more he thinks of her, the more he falls in love with her. This musician meets said girl again at a ball and tries to get in touch with her, where however he notices that she doesn't seem to pay any attention to him and he leaves the ball heartbroken.

He apparently goes to a pasture to think in peace. In this pasture, there are also two shepherds who are talking, while the musician becomes more and more desperate and more and more lost in the thoughts that his beloved does not love him. One of the shepherds seems to suffer a heart attack and die during the scene and a thunderstorm begins.

Completely distraught and heartbroken, the musician takes opium with the desire to kill himself, but instead, he has not taken enough and falls into a death-like sleep riddled with hallucinations and drug-created nightmares.

He dreams that he has murdered his lover and finds himself in a dungeon before being led to the execution ground and executed for his crimes, which the people cheer. Apparently with a guillotine. He then finds himself at a coven where he also sees his lover again, but she turns out to be a witch and celebrates his execution.

Whether the musician dies or not is not entirely clear. I think this is an open ending. That is all I have found for this symphony.

*ahem* ANYWAY, let's uh make this a bit less depressing, shall we?

So the whole premise being 'guy sees a girl and falls in love but she doesn't know he exists' could EASILY be attributed to Benny or Usnavi for Vanessa or Nina. I feel like in their own way, they feel like their girls are too good for them.

Usnavi trying to talk to Vanessa at a ball or party but getting nowhere is SO on brand though. He can barely bring himself to say anything to Vanessa but when he DOES, he talks a mile a minute and probably ends up running away in embarrassment cause no one caught a word he said. I doubt he'd be so distraught that he'd get caught in a cycle of despair thoughts, but hey, there's a first time for everything I guess.

The opium dream, I think we can just reduce that to a vivid nightmare sequence, maybe with blackout elements involved if this is taking place modern-day. And this can be trippy and sad for either Usnavi or Benny. Usnavi could have stuff about his parents and Abuela, Benny could have stuff about Kevin and not feeling like he will belong with them, etc etc.

However, when they wake up, I like to think they'd see it as a sign that they should try and talk to their respective crushes again. Like, that dream was so traumatizing that being awake and back in the real world feels SO GOOD that they feel like they can do anything. Leaves the ending still ambiguous but a bit more hopeful.

I honestly thought that Disney Knowledge Yuu would be “okay, it’s just a tale here, a very REAL one but, it can’t be that bad. Leona is here, Trey too and even Vil! They are really responsible and will make us go back at a reasonable time! Plus, they are really powerful! There is nothing to worry about!”

Also, do you think there is a figure like the coachman? The guy that employed Guidel and John to lure children into pleasure island? Maybe he’s the guy that transforms the people into donkeys

And while that would be cool, I doubt we're getting anyone else new, since the tradition has always been one new guest per event, with Fellow and Giddel slightly breaking it by being considered a unit.

Fun fact though, I actually made my OWN TWST Coachman OC a while back for a roleplaying server :3

His name is Carlo Omino (a combination of the author of Pinocchio, Carlo Collodi, and the Coachman's original Italian name, Omino di Burro). He runs a similar trafficking ring, except it hides in plain sight in a regular theme park in Port O'Bliss, and it involves animal transformation (any kind of animal, not just donkey) AND the capturing and selling of rare magical creatures and species. The animal transformations are mostly via potion created by sisters TWST Yzma and Kronk (named Eartha (after her VA) and Risu (Japanese for squirrel))

Carlo's also Rollo's abusive father in this universe but that's not important-

So...there's a new event...and the theme is Pinocchio...and the two new characters are based on Honest John and Gideon...and the location...playful island, (a.k.a pleasure island in movie)...the reason why I am typing this...is how messed up that one scene I recall.

So I kinda imagine when Yuu is having nightmare ptsd.

I know…and trust me…me AND my Yuusona are ready to have full-blown panic attacks.

Every Disney Yuusona is gonna lose their goddamn mind. One does not watch Pinocchio as a kid and come out unscathed

I’ll probably come up with more details once we get more story, but I know for a fact that mine isn’t gonna show up until later because she’s a staff member…who’s a security guard…and is LITERALLY in charge of hunting down kids who skip class. Once she puts the pieces together though…
